Who I am
Where I'm From
I love to travel any time I get the chance. Here are a few of my international destinations.
Family
Vienna
My favorite city in the whole world -- I just can't get enough of this place! I spent the Spring semester of my sophomore year in Vienna, and was so taken by it that I returned to Duke and changed my major to German. After graduating from Duke, I returned to Vienna to teach and study.

Berlin
I spent 6 months of my junior year in Berlin. It was quite different from Vienna -- where Vienna's streetscape was simply beautiful and the pace was slow, Berlin was pretty much one giant construction zone and very fast paced.

Egypt
While I was in Berlin, 2 friends stumbled onto $120 round trip tickets to Egypt, so we packed our bags and went to Egypt for 8 days. Saw King Tut's stuff, the Great Pyramids, floated the Nile,  rode a camel, and snorkeled in the Red Sea. In the process, I got a second degree sunburn. Ouch! But still, it was worth it!

Zimbabwe
My next trip to Africa was in the summer of 1998 when I had the opportunity to travel to Zimbabwe to participate in a three week work trip to Africa University. I also returned to Zimbabwe in the summer of 2002, again on a worktrip to Africa University. I loved seeing the wild animals on our safaris. What an amazing place!

Other
While in Europe, I pretty much travelled as much as possible, and visitied Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Belgium, the Netherlands, England, France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Crete, Cyprus, Malta, and Spain. How fortunate I have been to get to meet people from all over the world and see so many different places!
