Little Baker

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen with my daughter and as she grows she is becoming more and more independent. Through this photographic essay you can see her baking process from beginning to end and all the mess along the way. I decided to approach this shoot like a recipe itself. There is a specific order of steps in which you need to follow to get your intended outcome, however, inevitably with children there is bound to be a mess. I wanted to capture these moments as well as the steps because although perfectly tidy pictures are great, sometimes the best ones are in those real moments. As a kid, you don’t mind if there is a little disarray as long as your enjoying yourself and I think as adults we sometimes forget that.
