Her last colony got destroyed by a meteor when the shielding failed unexpectantly so she's presently on Tyr trying to recoup Background History:See occupation. She was born in a frontier colony and taught early how to use primitive emergency techniques, as all too often deliveries from home worlds failed. She learned to grow and use food and herbs for much the same reason. She spent little time watching broadcasts other than occasionally the news. Instead, she studied wildlife and learned to swim and climb and fight both bare-handed and with weapons. She found that she preferred crossbows: It was easier to improvise parts for them than it would be for a gun. All of her life she's felt there was something missing though. She's not quite yet figured out what that is.
