His first wife, Myra Ann McGoey, looked like Ava Gardner.
She was the daughter of John J. McGoey, his wife Elsie Bruning. Myra had one
brother, John J. McGoey, Jr. She died in Cambodia on 23 Aug 1958, and was
buried on 6 Sep 1958, in Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans, Louisiana. Her service
was held at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 3200 Canal Street,
New Orleans, LA. No issue

and met him on his way back to his position as Comptroller of the MAAG (1958-1959)
in Cambodia, after he escorted his first wife's body back to the states.
