She was the daughter of John J. McGoey, his wife Elsie Bruning. Myra had one brother, John J. McGoey, Jr.
She died in Cambodia on 23 Aug 1958. No issue.

He married secondly, Josephine Bell, in a Buddhist ceremony on 13 (14 in USA) March 1959, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Josephine worked for the State Department, and met him on his way back to his position as Comptroller of the MAAG (1958-1959) in Cambodia, after he escorted his first wife's body back to the states.
He was a relative of the 1st President of the Continental Congress, (USA) John Hanson, (April 3, 1715 � November 22, 1783); as well as George de Villiers, 1628-1687, the Duke of Buckingham.
