About Me
Hi! My name is Tammy.
Welcome to my website!
I am 39 years old (I'll be 40 this March!!). I
have an 18-year-old son, a 15-year-old daughter, a
wonderful husband, and the cutest little dog, Tippy.
My husband and I moved to Brownstown, Indiana almost 2 years ago from Decatur, Illinois. His got a job transfer with RR Donnelley to the plant in Seymour, IN. So far, we are really enjoying it! The town we live in is a nice, small town, and just about everything is within walking distance. The people we have met here so far are really nice, and we've found a new favorite restaurant at Brock's on the main road!
I am a stay-at-home mother,
which gives me plenty of time to pursue my various
hobbies. I enjoy making glass beads (as you can see!),
knitting, crocheting, reading, making jewelry, and
creating graphics and website templates. And just recently, I started painting ceramics and working with hand-built clay objects. Talk about some messy fun!!
I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes last month (that was my Christmas present!), and I'm learning how to incorporate that into my life. Helping my son out for the past several years with his diabetes has made my transition to a diabetes life a lot less stressful! He was diagnosed
with Type 1 Diabetes at 13, and my daughter
was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when she turned 13. Talk about an unlucky year for them! :-( .
That
is the main reason why I stay at home! Most of my
time is spent at doctor's offices...... and since at-home moms don't
technically get "paid" for their long hours
and arduous work, I am attempting to supplement our
income with my crafts and hobbies.
My goal is to make enough
to eventually get set up with a "proper"
ceramic and beading studio. I finally got myself a kiln ,
and hope to get a torch set up in my kitchen soon.
I would love to get my studio out of my kitchen, so
the kids will quit hollering about the lack of space
in the kitchen!
Long ago, when I had
an "outside" job, I was a church secretary
and administrative assistant. That was a job I really
enjoyed, but taking care of my kids had to take priority
over everything else, so I decided to stay home and
do just that! Thankfully, they are pretty much on a maintenace basis now, so my trips to their doctors has slowed down quite a lot!!
I hope you'll enjoy wandering
through my website. If you like my website designs,
maybe you'll think about purchasing a few. They make
great auction templates, too! And graphics can be
customized for each individual....
Y'all come back, now,
y'hear!
