Sta.Cruz National High School-Novele ANNEX was established last school year 2009-2010.
However,the legal permit to operate has just granted  effective september 27,2010.It started 
with 42 students in first year level and on the next year of operation, it was added with 38
students in the second year level.
   Barangay Novele,where the school is located, is the oldest barangay in the municipality of 
Rosario, Agusan del Sur, with farming as the major source of income.It is evedent that 
the status and condition of the families are within and even below the poverty live, so 
financially burdened that they cannot send their children to high school after finishing 
elementary schooling.The place even in a just a short period of time if it rains would occur
flood that will last for two days and even in a week, thus difficult for the children to go
to school crossing the flood in its distances of eights(8)kms. away from their residence.
  Thus, the barangay officials strongly requested for the opening of the secondary school
through barangay Resolution No.09 of 2010 as an answer, the secondary level.
  Further, through resolution report on inspection, the school has finally granted 
government permit to operate as Sta.Cruz National High School-Novele ANNEX located
at Barangay Novele, Rosario Agusan del Sur.
