* You get a dog and name him Van...
* ... and you try to teach him to fly
* You dye your cat pink and name it Merle...
* ... even if it's a guy
* You name your stuffed animals, hermit crabs, friends, ect. after characters in Escaflowne
* You relate every other anime you see (Evangelion, Outlaw Star, Tenchi, Pokemon, ect) to things or places in Escaflowne
* You have a picture of Van, Allen, Dryden, or Dilandau in a frame anywhere in your room
* Same goes for Hitomi, Merle, Milerna, Eryia, and Naria
* You have become incapable of talking about anything other than Escaflowne
* You have become incapable of thinking about anything other than Escaflowne
* You get a job just so you can buy Escaflowne soundtracks...
* ... and you get annoyed when your mom makes you set money aside for college...
* ... you don't need to go to college, you're king of Fanelia!
* You start a new religion and call it 'Escaflowneism'...
* ... and you actually get converts...
* ... more than 10...
* ... even people who haven't seen an episode of Escaflowne in their life...
* ... but you quickly put an end to that

* You listen to each of your soundtracks at least 3 times a day... each
* When you go for your driving test, you fail because you keep trying to burn other cars

* ... who nod thier heads in agrement
* All of your friends like Escaflowne, even though they've never seen it
* You make your own anime, and incorperate Escaflowne into it
* You like 70's haircuts
* You get a guy friends to grow his hair out so you can style it like Van's...
* ... but then you reilize that no amount of hair gel could make it look so shiney
* You're new favorate phrase is 'I like things that fly.'
* You're new favorite word is 'snarky'
* You've seen the series more that 5 times
* You actually understand the movie
