Terms and Conditions

Herein, Wesley's Computer Consulting will be referred to as "WCC", the customer or end-user receiving the services as "user", and the technician providing the service as "tech".
  1. Information
    The following user information is required by WCC to initiate a service call:
    • First and Last Name
    • Billing and/or Service Addresses
    • Billing and/or Service Phone Numbers
    • E-mail address
    • Preferred Payment Method
    • Scheduled Service Call Date and Time
     
  2. Services
    WCC will attempt to diagnose the problem and present a solution over the phone free of charge. In certain cases, the problem cannot be corrected over the phone and a service call must be scheduled.

    If a tech cannot complete a service call for any reason (i.e. wiring, overcoming physical or technical barriers, or due to the lack of resources available), any incurred charges will be null and void -- except a trip charge of $20 will be assessed.

    Completed service calls have a 7-day limited warranty (for functionality of item(s), not compatibility or working order). If a problem arises, a tech can be scheduled to come out to fix the problem - please note that the user may be charged for the service call, depending on the severity of the problem.
     
  3. Payment
    Payment is required in-full and at the end of a completed service call for all services rendered. Payment plans will not be allowed for first-time customers. Payments are accepted in the following forms: cash, personal/cashier's check, money morder, or PayPal*.
    *PayPal payments must be made immediately after a service call is completed, on-site.

    Users with economic hardships must fill out a form and provide proof of hardship. Proof may include, but not be limited to: tax forms, welfare/SSA/medicare papers, etc.

    An final invoice will be sent either by e-mail or postal mail to the user listing all charges incurred and any charges still pending payment.
     
  4. User Data
    The user understands and agrees that prior to contacting WCC or allowing a WCC tech to perform services on your computer (or computer-related devices), they should (but are not required to) back-up the data, software, and any other personal information on their computer (or computer-related devices). Failure to do such DOES NOT make the WCC and or its techs responsibile for data and/or software loss.
     
  5. Scheduling
    The user must call at least 3 hours beforehand to schedule an appointment for a tech to make a service call. Appointment times are NOT guaranteed nor are always available. Appointment slots are given in either 1-hour or 2-hour increments, depending on the complexity of the service call.

    There is NO charge for rescheduling an appointment, but please do so 3 hours before the scheduled appointment time.

    Emergency calls (calls serviced outside of normal business hours) will have a fee of $50 in addition to the normal service rate.
     
  6. Service Area
    The regular hourly service rate shall apply for any user that resides within the service area (see the area defined here). Any user outside of the service area shall have a trip fee of $0.10 per mile assesed, as determined by the technician commuting to the service call's location.
     
  7. Appointments
    If a tech cannot arrive to an appointment on-time, they must call the user at least fifteen (15) minutes before the scheduled appointment time to inform the user of their possibility tardiness. The user, at that time, can either reschedule their appointment for a better time or wait for the tech to arrive at their residence. There is NO charge for rescheduling an appointment nor waiting or a tech to arrive.

    If a tech fails to contact the user and misses their appoinment, a 50% credit will be applied for the next successful service call.

    An authorized adult, 18 years or older, MUST be present in order for services to be rendered. If a tech arrives and NO adult is present, a fee of $25 will assessed and it is the USER's responsibility to reschedule their appointment.

    If the user wishes to cancel their appointment, at least 3 hours advanced noticed must be given or a cancellation fee of $10 will be assessed.
     
  8. Additional Hardware/Software
    Any hardware or software purchased by the user BEFORE a service call is not warrantied by WCC nor is WCC responsible for any damage to the item(s) before, during, and after the service call.

    If a customer wishes to have hardware or software purchased by WCC before, during, or after the service call, then the item(s) shall have a 7-day limited warranty, in addition to any store and/or manufacturer's warranty, that covers the functionality of the item(s) and does not guarantee the compatibility nor the working order of the item(s).
     
  9. Access
    Any tech from WCC must have full and unrestricted access to any computer (or computer-related) devices that are being serviced. Also, the user must provide a safe working environment, with adequate space, lighting, and electrical power to complete the service call. Failure to do such, as determined by the tech, may result in a denial of service and a cancellation fee of $10 will be assessed.
     
  10. Release of Liability
    The user agrees to affirmatively release and hold harmless WCC from and against any loss, liability, or damage that the user may suffer, including, but not limited to, any loss of any data and the non-functioning of any component or element of the user's computer equipment or peripherals resulting from WCC or its techs, regardless of the warranties or disclaimers of those items.
     
  11. Changes to Terms and Conditions
    Any modifications to the Terms and Conditions shall me made solely by WCC, at any time, without communicated notice to the user.
