He was appointed 1733 and died 17381209.

Gilbert became a member of The Thirteen in 1722, died owning The Grange, buried 17321208 aged 70. Miles Gastrell was appointed Vicar in 1733, patrons the Feoffees. In 1735 both the Town Jury and Foreign Jury requested that he 'beat the bounds of the Borough at the usual times'
