Should
we follow the traditions of Judaism?
The answer of Elohim to this question is simply this.
Any law from whatever source which teaching
is contrary to the written word of Elohim, shows from whence it comes
and is an abomination to Elohim..
"As it is written. After Yehovah Elohacem
shall ye walk, and Him shall ye fear, and His commandments shall ye
keep, and unto His Voice shall ye hearken, and Him shall ye serve, and
unto Him shall ye cleave. And the prophet or that dreamer of dreams
shall be put to death: because he hath spoken to turn you away from
Yehovah Elohacem which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and
redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way
which Yehovah Elohacem commanded thee to walk in. So shall ye put the evil away from the midst of thee." Deut. 13:4. (Eze. 34.)
In this day the written word of Elohim is
available to all, and it tells all that they will be judged according
to that written word. The work of those who take upon themselves to act
as shepherds to the flock, must be to direct those in their trust to
read and obey that written word, and leave the interpretation of the
word to the Holy Spirit, by which it was written. They should correct
and admonish only with: "Thus saith Yehovah." or "It is written." Then the recipient is admonished with power by Elohim Himself.
There should be no difference between following Elohim and following
Judaism, However if there is a difference we must ask, why?
Should we read ha Berit hadashah - The new Testament?
Where in the tnach is it written that Elohim prohibits us from reading this book?
Is it "permissible" to read the Greek classics, Plato, Aristotle, Homer, Greek mythology?
Is it alright to tell our children fairy tails?
Then how much more should we read that which
pertains to our salvation. A jewish Book, written by Jews, for the
benefit of Jews, which shows that "salvation is of the Jews". John.
4:22.
However, Take a word of warning. Yehoshua the
Messiah has been changed by the "Christians" into Jesus Christ and made
to appear to do away with the Law.
Any Christian will say that the name Jesus is
English for Joshua. But we notice that Joshua is English already, as
there is no 'J' in Hebrew. Also if their fable was true, they
would call the book of Yehoshua, the book of Jesus. So, why not?
Because the word Jesus is an English
transliteration of the Greek word Iasos, which means to heal or healing.
In Greek mythology it will be found that the Sun
god, Apollo, had three granddaughters. One named Hygieia, (Health) the
second Panacea, (Cure all) and the third Iasos, (Healing).
Yehoshua the Messiah being noted for innumeral
healings was thus called Iasos. (Jesus) But Yehoshua the son of Nun is
not recorded as healing anyone, so, his name was called Joshua and not
Jesus.
Now the word "Christ" also comes from the Greek,
meaning to smear with oil or "chrisma" meaning special endowment.
Therefore there were many Christs, as were the Emperor of Rome
and the priests of Mithra. But there is only one Messiah, He is
anointed by Elohim with the Holy Spirit and not merely smeared with oil
by man. ( Isa. 11:1-3.)
Yehoshua the Messiah was perfect in every respect
concerning the Law of Elohim given through Moshe. Had it not been so, His
atonement for us would never had been accepted by the Father, and we
would be without hope. But now Yehoshua the Messiah is our Tikva - Hope,
and to believe and obey His word will not be in vain. As it is written.
"Yah is my strength and song, and He is become my Salvation He is
Elohey, and I will prepare Him an habitation." Ex. 15:2. (Ps. 118:14. Isa. 12:2.)
The Hebrew New testament uses the Name Yeshua, were
it should be Yehoshua. (see Haggai and Zechariah) But in all other
matters it is a very good translation.
