 My favorite doll to play with when I was young was Barbie. I think that I preferred playing with Barbie more than any other doll or toy I owned. She was like a best friend to me. I can remember playing with Barbie for hours on end. It was fun playing Barbie with my friends too....In fact we even took our dolls (in their cases with their clothes!) to school so we could play at recess. It was when I was grown and with a few children of my own that I longed for my Barbie dolls from my own childhood. To my horror I discovered that they were long gone.  :-( It was around 1982 and I started on a search to replace those childhood dolls that had been lost many years before. I didn't even know that anyone else collected Barbie...in fact I didn't even look at it as *collecting*...I just wanted to recapture some of that childhood fun and relive some great memories. In those early days if I saw a Barbie at a garage sale or thrift store I would pick it up (if my budget would allow). I got some really great dolls and outfits at great prices...but I also passed up things that I can only dream about now! :-)  It is through my love of Barbie that I have had the chance to recapture some of my childhood...and share the excitement with others just like me!

All the pictures on this page are from my  personal collection. I hope you enjoy them! I love vinyl and paper licensed products...especially those with the Bubble Cut pictured on them. I just love the art work! Wishing happy Barbie days to all my Barbie buddies!
