Galatians Chapter 4

"But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?"  (Ga 4:9).  The liberty that man gains from understanding, accepting, and being wholly taken by the Spirit of God through the death of Jesus Christ allows him to gain a certain supernatural level of freedom.  A freedom that directs confidence, joy, and adoration.  Being saved from the "weak and beggarly elements" finally offers peace of mind in a tossed and turning world which ultimately will hold the man entirely captive to the "necessities" that the world requires.  There is no necessity other than faith in God.  "Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son: and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ" (Ga 4:7).  I am a son of God.  A son that is loved, supported, nurtured, and protected.  I can freely rejoice in the Lord, carefree of the yokes that the world uses to chain me down.  I am free.
