Sept.9, 2002.  I just had a wonderful weekend. The fourish hour drive to Cape Bretton was beautiful. I just love long drives. Is was esp. nice to get a chance to  appricate the beauty of my provence. Living in the city can make me forget how scenic of a provience I live in. Cape Bretten is a really nice place to be. My boy was wonderful (as usual)  We stayed with his mother ..eeekkk .. but she was really hosbitable and  doesn't seem to hate me. It all went really well....the weekend was full of beer, friends, food and music. I couldn't have planned a better weekend if I tried.

I also got to play a snowbording xbox game on a big ass tv .. it was really cool.  I didn't play but I watched the boys play Halo.. which looks like a really kick ass game to play. It is really cool to watch too.  Last night when we got back we rented The Resident Evil movie. I used to be  totally addicted to the game so I just loved the movie. The chicks in the movie were really hot too which I'd have to say really helped.

I added
a pic page to my site as I scaned a few pics while i was in Cape Bretton. I would like to get a scanner so I can post more pics.
Sept. 17  Still not much too exciting going on in my life. I haven't really been doing the bar scene  much anymore. I guess things are always in a constant state of change. It's wierd how humans seem to expect things to stay the same.. Ie. when things are bad we think it will be permanent or they will get worse.. and vice versa. Also we seem to fear and dislike change. How can this be when existance in constantly in a state of change? Really it makes no sense. For me pesonally, I just hope I can keep pushing change in  positive direction but honestly I have no expectations. I used to be into tarot cards.. hoping that they could tell me that everything will be better.. but honesly it's all about interpertation... cards invented to make us feel like we can hold on to some sort of control of the always unknown future.

Went to a jam space party friday. I've become re-addicted to Soul Reaver for the playstation..stayed up to 4am on sunday playing. Yes! I need a job, Note to my self: get your lazy ass out of bed turn off the video games and get out in the world and try harder to get a job.

I was just remembering a funny moment in my life... it was the first time my boy was comming over to my house.. spurr of the moment thing..I had only met him a few times.. and we had talked on msn briefly and on the phone but had never actually hung out before.... He was on his way over and I was soo excited/nervous that I didn't know what to do: so I lit a smoke... then I realized I had to brush my teeth.. so there I am smoking while vigerously brushing my teeth talking on msn to my friend Chandra about wheather or not to put on make up. Even at the time I was much aware of the situation. I am such a nut!!!

In other news I have recently discovered Eminem. I never game him a chance before but I am really liking his music. I don't gererally like rap music.. or any new music for that matter. But he is really funny and catchy. I am very surprised.

Sept. 19, 2002    I missed another wed. retro night last night. This is like the 3rd or 4th week in a row. I am gonna go next week no matter what. I love retro night.  For me it is very much about dancing but it is also for the music. Although I don't like to hear those songs too often. And not just 'cuz some of them suck and should stay in the 80s where they belong. But it is that I don't want new memories asociated with the music to push out the old memories. I kinda like that about music;  rarely playing some of my fave music that I had listened to often after events in my life change. Often it doesn't happen on purpose, but is is a wonderful way to perserve memories in my head. It's one of the best ways I can jolt my memory.. really brings me back to different times in my life. I can remember and feel the emotions associated with that time in my life when that particalar song was constantly in the background. Emotions can be harder to remember that actual events.

In other news I need a root canal... yucky... It will cost a bloody fortune.. but everyone keeps telling me my smile is worth every penny. I am always smiling .. I think it would truely make me a different person without it. Thankfully my tooth  doesn't hurt. Although I am sure I won't be saying that on monday after it is all done.  Hopefully they will give me some good meds.. so even if it hurts.. I'll be too stoned to care : )
Sept. 30, 2002  Well the root canal wasn't as bad as I'd feared. My son was on the front page of the paper on the 20th. so I'll have to get that scanned tee hee. I finally went to a retro night.. hd a blast.. then I had the kids all weekend so I didn't go out.. but I had fun spending lots of time with them...my perfect little cuties. Goth night was last night. I dragged my boy there.. his first one. I think he had fun. I certinally did : ). Had fun drinking at my friend Christine's house first.. . She always goes to goth night.. she was the first goth in Halifax when I met her 7 years ago. I got  lots of compliments on my low cut black velvet dress. We couldn't stay out too long 'cuz he has to be up at 7am on week days.. Sucks to be him. I slept till noon..tee hee.
