Okay, here's the current skinny on my wrist. I have no less than three injuries (carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, and a torn ligiment). This all adds up to me not being able to write AT ALL (quick demonstation, people. Make a fist. Now, pivot your wrist as if you were...I don't know...doing something crazy like WRITING. If you could look inside your wrist, you'd see that the long bone in your arm never QUITE touches the tiny bones in your wrist. This is the way it should be. A combination between my torn ligiment and the fact that I just plain have REALLY long bones leads to my bone jamming up into my wrist whenever I bring my hand down. All together now...Ow...) and having to ration my computer time. As of right now (14 NOV 2001) I have a large brace on my right arm, a sling, and are popping painkillers like nobody's business. I'm signed up for surgery on 21 DEC 2001, and will need some PT after that.
If it gets too bad, or it looks like I'll be out of service for much longer, I'll be trolling for a helper monkey...er...part-time webmistress/webmaster to just basically throw everything I've got up here...it's not a hard job, but it can be time consuming, and I have no interest in doing it while my hand is rebelling. I'll probably only be reaching this point if my surgery doesn't help, but watch this space for info.
In other news, I have a HUGE amount of interest in completely re-working this site to make it less...ugly. This should be underway before my 19th birthday (MAR 04 2002), gods willing. And, by the time I reach 19, (again, gods willing) I vow that I will have SOMETHING for Takori and Hiyako. I vow. Really...
