Zelda's Rare Candy: It ain't Jogress. It ain't even Digimon...it's Pokémon. But it's probably one of the funniest sites I've ever seen. Read her "Unaired Episodes" series...but not at work. I know this the hard way (stupid fascist boss who doesn't see the joy in flamingly gay Team Rocket members..."At least I wasn't so busy staring at James' crotch that I sent out my crappy Clefairy." "Clefairy isn't crappy! And I wasn't staring at his crotch, I was staring at his ass!"...it was my break, too!). And, on another note, it makes this site look positively well-updated and beautifully designed...always a plus, no?
The Vision of Resuko: Resuko. You've seen her stuff. It's the amazing Shonen/Shoujo-ai art that absolutely floors the others in her fandoms. And, in addition, she offered me a pic before I had the opportunity to ask, leading one to believe that, on top of all else, she is telepathic. Also, one MIGHT blame her for my Daiken madness, seeing as she made the first piece of Daisuke/Ken art I ever saw (and I remember thinking "Daisuke? Kaizer? Who ARE these twerps?"). There is nothing more to say, because you're already over there drooling over her pictures.
Sacred Temple of Yomi: I spend more time at this site then is probably good for my sanity...hilarious, Ikkakuchan is a god...and it feeds my Miyako obsession (be afraid...be very afraid...)
Nozomi's Page of Wonders: Well, she's got a great site...and she made me a great little Taito pic, too. Go shower Hope with your praises...
The Lost Temple of Ishida: Go...see...now...Goth TK is the highlight, in my eyes, of this site. It...destroys me. But...well...we've all seen that set-up where people put up screengrabs with funny captions in the alt text, right? That's this site's baby.
White Cat's World: Mrow? A phenomenally good writer, an amazingly nice person, and a site where...not only does she have Daiken fics, but also fics in MANY other fandoms (Pokémon, especially some real nice ShiShi, YYH, Gundam Wing...even a YYH/Gundam Wing crossover.) There's even peachy-keen fanart...and speaking of peachy-keen, did I mention that she likes Neil Gaiman?
Cornerstone, Cruelty-free Gothic: Well, first off this company gets FAR too much of my free money...but why is it so high? They're selling GOGGLES. NICE goggles. Including one pair which, were it not for the color, would look just like Dai's...for $10!
Fanfiction.net: We all know this place, I think. Going here is a real crapshoot. There are random flames galore, bashing (there seems to be an entire genre devoted to Daisuke/Davis bashing...)...constant site crashes (which are annoying for writers and readers alike)... fics that make you wonder if the writer speaks English...or for that matter, any language known to mankind...fics that make you slap your head...total waste-of-time fics...but there are also amazingly good pieces of fiction hiding among the mess. And this place has the largest concentration of fics known to mankind. So, keep your head about you and you'll find some real gems. And also, it's a great resource for writers. Keep a thick skin about flames and you can get some good constructive criticism. On an entirely unrelated note...it's also where I hide all MY fics...
Sailor Hellblazer: A fic which NEEDS a link...this is what fanfiction SHOULD be. I read this around 3 years ago and it STILL makes me laugh...and it has stayed with me, especially in geeky jokes. "Frig me, I have tits!"
The Special Forces: My baby. Basically, a clique devoted to trying to inject some much-needed respect into the Digimon fandom.
Megchan's Digimon Sekai: One of the ultimate Digimon fandom resources...notable for her message-boards, her Digimon Encyclopedia (want to see something scary? Go look under Puttimon. *Brr* Reasons to be happy Ken doesn't have a DigiEgg/DigiMental. Thing looks like one of those evil Teletubby critters from the Stone Temple Pilots video for Sour Girl...) and some great fanart, including amazing Gjinkas, which I like a lot and can't find that easily...even some Yaoi, if you can look around (Taito.)
Anipike: Digimon: Well, it ain't most accurate thing by a long shot...the lack of page summaries can annoy me at times...but if you're willing to take the risk of stumbling onto something you might not like, it's a great waste of a few hours.
Fade to Black: A very funny political site, if you're willing to take everything with more than a grain of salt. Waitasecond, I can hear you now "Juno, have you lost your last brain cell? POLITICAL?" Well, y'see, they also give me my free e-mail. An @godisdead.com addy DEFINITELY gets attention...
Religioustolerance.org: Not fandom related, but one of the best resources on religious differences known to mankind. A great place to send that flamer who INSISTS on saying that god hates gays, and a good place to get every possible side of an issue...including ones you probably never had any notion about.
The Cabin: Since I've gotten completely off-topic, I'm throwing in a link for my leftist group. This site, by the way, is what got me banned from Canada (long story...). And, just for those who want to be evil stalkers...I think my real name is still somewhere on here. You'll never find it, though! (*Evil laughter*)
Darklinks.com: It's the center of the Gothic net. Okay, I don't see much connection, either. BUT...I forgot the URL's for Punkemon, Tamagothi and Melancholia and Cookies (the great, rarely updated, Gothic Anime site). And they're all on here somewhere...so...
The Shan Site: Shanmonster!
Shanmonster! All hail the wise and benevolent Shanatrix! This is the site of the
Shanmonster (natch), and it's...absolutely hilarious. AND I was, at one point,
voted Vice President of Smash Your Head Against The Cage (the message board). If
you go by, be sure to look in Reader Art for my one piece of fanart EVER (then
thank your respective gods that I never try DigiArt...) check out the ChinchCam
(if it's up...who can say "no" to frolicking chinchrats?) look in The
Witching Hours (where I get my torture information...and no, you don't want to
know why I need torture information. Let's just say it's for a fic and thank any
gods you worship that you aren't Ken.) (Note the second, The Witching Hours is
FOLKLORE...not Wicca. This comes up in a flame to her every once in a while and
she spends a few days annoyed at Wiccans in general while the SYHATC Wiccans try
to calm her down.) read Jesus Was Gother Than You (Which gets her the most
flames...and is, in my humble opinion, the funniest part of the site. Though
Rant and Rage can do it for me sometimes...) and stop in at Smash Your Head
Against the Cage to say "Hi." There's even another Digimon fan there
(Hi, Wizard of Todd...).
Hope you're happy, Shan. You got the biggest write-up. Even if you get a pretty
low billing. (Don't hurt me.)
My Pita: Which I almost never update, but is notable nonetheless for the few times I go on and rant.
Galactic Federation Communciations Hub: Before Red Dwarf, before Digimon, before Anime, before X-Files...before anything else...I was obsessed with a show called the Tomorrow People. Man, I wanted to BE Megabyte (from the New Series.) And I've just rediscovered my love...and I still wanna be Megabyte (okay, I got the rock music, the computer skills, all that...now I just need to Break Out...)
