| I suppose I am average-looking. At around 5'6", I am the shorty in the family. I take after my mother's looks--dark hair, dark eyes; whereas my father & brother both have lighter hair, skin, and eyes. My hair is naturally curly/wavy and is dark brown in hue. It is currently at one length 4-5" past my shoulders(I normally have layers, but I am growing it out to donate it to Locks of Love). I am caucasian, but my skin is perhaps a bit darker than most caucasians. My eyes are round and dark, dark brown, and I suppose they would have to be my favorite feature. Least favorite feature? That would have to be my nose. It sticks out very much from the rest of my face. Of course, you can see this all for yourself, so I'm not sure why I am explaining my physical self to you.

| Honestly, my intelligence is something I am quite proud of. Currently, I rank 11/847 in my class, and I have a 5.3 GPA (on a 6 point scale) or a 4.0 (on a 4 point scale). My strengths and passions lie in English and History. I love writing stories and reading about Modern American History. I would say that my favorite book is either The Giver by Lois Lowry or The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Math? Eh, it's not my forte, but I do enjoy some aspects. Science? Whoa, you've got to slow down and repeat that again. I couldn't care less for science (especially chemistry), except when it comes to genetics/DNA. Now THERE is something I enjoy. I must admit, though, the social sciences are what fascinate me the most. I love learning about how people behave and the reasons behind their thoughts and actions. I love taking personality tests and discovering more about myself, which might be indicitave of my love for classifying things. |
| "And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance...I hope you dance." |
Dancing is my passion. It is my love. I love dancing. And while there are many more ways to express my emotions toward this exquisite art form, I do realize that you would probably not appreciate me rambling on for days and days. My favorite type of dance would have to be tap, but lyrical does come in a close 2nd. I am currently on my school's drill team, and I love it. I have been dancing for 8 years and love it more each day. |
| I am extremely shy at first glance, I don't tend to open up to others or express my opinions, I am extremely emotional, I am judgemental, I am compassionate. According to PersonalityType.com, I am an ISFJ, or Introvert, Sensor, Feeler, Judger. According to them, "People of this type tend to be: cautious, gentle, and thoughtful; hesitant until they know people well then affectionate and caring; very literal and aware of the physical world; uncompromising about personal standards and easily offended; diligent and conscientious, organized and decisive.
This is an excellent assessment of myself and I completely agree with this description except for the organized and decisive part, though I have noticed that my New Years' Resolutions each year tend to focus on my organizational skills. Hah. Like I ever follow through with those.
Another important aspect of my life is the fact that I refrain from cussing. WHAT? Did she just say she doesn't cuss?! Yes, that's right. I find it unnecessary and offensive. I know, I sould quite goodytwoshoesish about now, but I am horrible at breaking habits, and I figure that if I know I won't be able to quit, it's probably best to not start in the first place. I am a worrier. I am constantly worrying about everything and everyone. If I could change anything about my personality, I would make myself less of a worrywart--and less uptight. Think "Monica" on FRIENDS, minus the obsession with cleaning. That's pretty much me. I get quite upset when people are late and I can't stand unfairness. That would probably be my biggest pet peeve. That and mixing up "your" and "you're". I know that sounds crazy, but seriously, It irks me beyond belief. I love art. Any kind of art. I love drawing, which is something that not many people know about me. I love drawing people--I have been known to tear out ads from magazines to sketch. I plan on uploading some drawings in the near future. A lot of my drawings are based on Norman Rockwell's art. His paintings are my favorite--well, his and Degas', though I will admit that I am partial to Degas' paintings since they he is known for painting ballerinas. I also played clarinet for 5 years, and though it was fun at first, it got old and unenjoyable. I gave it up to be on the drill team. People tell me that I was born in the wrong decade. As I have mentioned before, I am infatuated with everything that has to do with 1900s-1950s American History--you know, the picturesque American Dream and everything that it entailed. Or perhaps still entails? I'm not sure if there is such a thing as The American Dream any longer. I guess this would be a good time to mention that I am quite pessimistic. As much as I hate to admit it, I do usually see the negative side of things, and it makes me frustrated. I sometimes find that I hate every little thing about myself and those are the moments where I would love to scream, but that's pretty much what my blog is for, right? |

-FRIENDS. I love FRIENDS. It is my absolute all-time favorite show. It makes me laugh all the time, and I am notorious for constantly quoting the show. (Some of my favorite FRIENDS quotes are listed here.)
