bonjour! France 2004

I went to France in the Summer of 2004 and it was the most wonderful 10 days of my life. I went with 9 others from my school, only one of which I had previously known, and I came back with such great memories and woderful friends.

While I was there, I went to Paris, Bordeaux, Amboise, Biarritz, Lourdes, Nimes, Carcassonne, Nice, and also Monaco. Click on each of the mini pictures to see a full-sized version. (Opens in new window) Captions are located below the pictures.

Captions: (images are numbered left to right, top to bottom.)

#1: This is a picture of Notre Dame from the back. It was taken from a beautiful garden with lots of trees.
#2: This is The Arc de Triomphe and the street sign for la Place Charles de Gaulle.
#3: This is the front window of the Chartres Cathedral. It was absolutely stunning from the inside; It's too bad the pictures from the inside turned out badly.
#4: Leonardo daVinci's tomb inside a teeny cathedral at Chateau d'Amboise.
#5: A grand view of Paris as seen from the 2nd floor of la Tour Eiffel.
#6: Looking up into the main arch of l'Arc de Triomphe. If you look closely, you can see a camera in the middle flower. lol.
#7: The Sacre Coeur (Sacred Heart).
#8: This can be seen on the Eiffel Tower--at first I thought it was a real man, but then I took a closer look.
#9: The Chateau de Chenonceau. It was absolutely gorgeous.
#10: Another picture of the Chenonceau.
#11: The Louvre Museum.
#12: Notre Dame cathedral. On the left side of the photo, you can see the scaffolding (bummer)--they were renovating/cleaning the cathedral.
#13: L'arc de Triomphe--you can also see scaffolding at the top left.
#14: The Point d'Alexander Bridge. You can see the Eiffel Tower in the background.
#15: The Eiffel Tower as seen from a boat in the Seine river.
