The new vally governorate dependscompletely on the under ground in agriculture and drinking , in industry and in all purposes until the end of digging and running sheik zaid canal wich will get its water from Nasser lake the development still depends on the Government's efforts especially in the field of digging and dnilling wells . but the efforts of the investment sector have appeard in east owaynat and som lands of dakhala .this can be used from the great quantities of the stored water which are estimated tobe 15,000,000,000 cubic metres . this water is distinguished by the lowness of salt in it the total of deep water wells is shown in the following table :-
