| Page Nine Panel One: Small room, interior. Jack is tied to a chair in a plain wooden room. There is nothing in the room save for Jack tied to a chair and a suit. There is one door that doesn�t have a window. Jack looks like hell and is bleeding from his mouth. The front of his shirt is also covered in blood. Under the chair newspaper is spread out as if for a dog or in this case to catch blood so it doesn�t stain the floor. The suit is holding the back of Jack�s hair asking him something while pointing a finger in his face. CAPTION: I couldn�t understand a word he was saying. This didn�t make him happy at all. If I had to guess though it would be something to do with money and drugs that�s what it�s always about. Panel Two: Small room, interior. First person view from Jack�s eyes of him getting punched in the face by the suit. CAPTION: He broke my nose. Panel Three: Small room, interior. Jack is now bent over as far as his restraints will allow. Blood is pouring from his face onto the news paper. The suit is rubbing his fist and preparing to start again. CAPTION: I figured since I lacked the power to sit up I�d read the news paper. It was last weeks, but given my lack of options I was fine with it. CAPTION: Dear Ann Landers, My Blah blah blah� CAPTION: These things never have advice I can use. Maybe I should write my own. Panel Four: Small room, interior. The suit has set jack back up in the chair with one hand and is punching him across the face with the other. Blood flies from the punch. CAPTION: Dear Ann Landers, Long time reader first time writer. I have a big problem Ann. I just can�t seem to catch a break. Every time I think I�m in the clear something bad happens to me. It�s never my fault I�m not even talking about the problems I cause. Something beyond my control never fails to ruin my day. Page Ten Panel One: Small room, interior. Jack is being hit in the gut causing him to open his mouth and have blood pour out. The suit is unfazed by this. CAPTION: Take today for instance Ann. I�m tied to a chair in an unknown place being beaten by a man I�ve never met for something I didn�t do. If something doesn�t give he�s going t beat me to death. I�ve grown quite fond of my life and don�t wish to die. I hope you can help me catch a break. Sincerely, Bloody and bruised Panel Two: Small room, interior. The suit is exiting the room without looking back. Jack is spiting out blood and cringing as if he�s going to cry. CAPTION: Dear Bloody and bruised, I�m sorry to hear about your current situation, but I am hear to tell you that no amount of luck can help you. You are the only person in charge of your life so stop blaming others for your problems. You make your own breaks. JACK: Own breaks� Panel Three: Small room, interior. Jack had pulled his untied legs up underneath of him. His arms the only thing tied to the chair are still holding. His head is fully arched back as he strains blood red to pull free. JACK: HUNGG SFX: KKKKRACK! Panel Four: Small room, interior. The chair now broken and is Jack on the floor removing the rope that is cutting off his circulation. He�s half setting up but not quite 90 degrees yet. He�s is in more pain now that�s he�s free. If it was anyone else there hand would be broken. CAPTION: Fuck you MacGyver Jack gets shit done. JACK: ugh�fuck Panel Five: Small room, interior. On the side of the room we couldn�t see there we two large windows with painted glass. Jack is trying to open them, but his hands are out of commission. JACK: If the normal approach doesn�t yield results� Panel Six: Fire escape, day, exterior. Jack throwing the bottom half of the chair through the window discovers that there is a fire escape there. Jack is smiling from inside the room. The chair is sitting on the fire escape and glass is everywhere. The window didn�t completely shatter so there is a frame of glass around Jack. JACK: �throw something at it. SFX: KRESSSHHH |
