Darryl Tyrone "Pooh" Gregory, Jr (February 15, 1977 - November 15, 2008)
WINSTON-SALEM - Darryl Tyrone Gregory, Jr. known to many as "Pooh," passed away Saturday, November 15, 2008. He was born February 15, 1977 in Winston-Salem, NC to Paula and Darryl Gregory. He was preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Christine Kelly. He leaves to cherish his many loving memories to: his parents, Paula and Darryl Gregory; Shantina "Wifey" Houston; three children: son, 13, Darryl Gregory , III "Third"; daughter, 9, ZaKeria Gregory; and daughter, 11 months, Raniyah Gregory "Nija"; two brothers, Carlos Gregory and Kennith White; sister, Keisha Gregory; two uncles, Larry Floyd and David Kelly; three nephews, Carlos Gregory, Jr., Christopher Brown, and Keishaun Gregory; his football team, baseball team, and many homeboys "his dogs" and close friends. We are sorry but there are just too many to mention, but you know who you are. Pooh you will be missed and our lives will never be the same Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2008 at Great Cleveland Avenue Christian Church with Bishop Todd Fulton officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 1 p.m. Friday at the Church. Sara Jo Moore Pegg (? - December 23, 2005)
KERNERSVILLE - Ms. Sara Jo Moore Pegg, 29, lost her lifelong struggle with depression on Friday, Dec. 23, 2005. Sara was a spirited and nurturing soul and longed for a happy and peaceful life. Her love of life and family and friends could not overcome her pain. She brought joy and light to everyone she met. Her departure from this world has left a void in many peoples' lives. Sara was born in Lubbock, Texas, and was a member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church in Walkertown. She graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1995 and was employed by Dr. Jessie Grimm in Kernersville as a certified dental assistant. Sara is survived by her mother and stepfather, Pamela Trimble Dillon and David Dillon of Kernersville; her father, Dex Boyd Moore of Royse City, Texas; two sisters, Alexis Donges of Wilmington and Audra (Devon) Miller of Austin, Texas; nephews Jett Durbin and Magnus Miller; her stepgrandmothers, Mabel S. Dillon of Kernersville and Mary Frances Moore of Lubbock; her special friend Ella; and loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Dec. 28, at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Harold Schwantes and the Rev. Kelly Billings officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Mental Health Association of Forsyth County, 1509 S. Hawthorne Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Hayworth-Miller-Cain in Kernersville is serving the Pegg family.
