Democracy cannot be dodged. It was not made in The United Stated of America simply because americans call it the best of all possible political systems. It exists because of its basic concepts that the people believe in.

the American concept of democracy rests on the following basic notions.

(1) A recognition of the fundamental worth and dignity of every person;

(2) A respect for the equality of all persons;

(3) A faith in majority rule and an insistence upon minority fights;

(4) An acceptance of the nevessity of compromise;

(5) An insistence upon the widest possiible degree of individual freedom.
