How to Use this Site
This site is designed with the thought that the people who are using this information know nothing about making a website. Just read each page and follow the simple directions and you will have a website up and running in one day. The best part is that you build a webpage first, and then learn how you did it.

I strongly recommend that you print each webpage and follow along rather than going back and forth between your browser and Wordpad, the only two programs you will need to use. Each page is very printer friendly so take advantage of printing each and saving them for future reference.

Overview- Blah, blah, blah
This website will show you how to make a simple webpage, how to manipulate it the way you want it to work and look, then how to take several webpages, link them together to make a running website. I will teach you all the terminology and the basics for HTML. In order to make your own website, you must get a good "feel" of the basics. Using HTML to make a webpage is basic. If at anytime you "feel" overwhelmed or confused by the information, please continue to follow the directions and you will see how it all works when you have completed each task.

I have kept every section short and sweet with easy-to-follow instructions. I use no reference books in bringing you this information, just everything I've learned in the past seven years. I am presenting it to you in a format that I wish I had when I was making my first webpage.

What you will need
All the programs you will use are already on your computer. You will be using WordPad and your browser, most likely Internet Explorer.

About this site
You do not have to be online to make a webpage, just follow the process I have designed and you should have no problem making a website. All I ask is that you print each page and follow along as you do each task. You can always use them as a reference later, if needed. In Part One, you actually start making a website. Have fun!!!
