In order to study the patho- physiology of psoriasis and basal cell carcinoma we have developed successfully xenotransplanted human skin onto SCID mice in addition to the organotypic skin explant culture model. Presently developed SCID mice model is novel in respect to the fact that  only 5mm3 biopsies from patients� non-involved skin are needed for Xenotransplantation and  on these transplants psoriatic lesions can be induced successfully  by injecting the patients peripheral blood mononucleated cells (PBMC) that are prior activated by in vitro incubation with super antigens (SEBS) .This Xenotransplanted SCID mice model is now used to pre evaluate the efficacy of potential anti-psoriatic drugs before they can be applied in patients. The above mentioned hOSEC model and the Xenotransplanted SCID mice model will be used to study the mechanism of inflammation and gene expression in relation to the migration of immune cells at the inflammation sites.
