With Molly Rice in drama, we talked about what we can see in mudpuddles. She shared poetry with us about puddles.
I like to look in puddles when I smile, they smile when I laugh, they laugh And when I cry - they don't mind getting wet!
Thunder crashes. Lightening flashes. Rain makes puddles So I can make splashes!
We memorized this one & acted it out!
We then got into pairs and one of us was the other's mirror. We had to slowly copy everything the other person did. We started off with our hands, then moved to our faces, then whole bodies! We then copied Molly as we washed our faces, brushed our teeth, and even got dressed for school.

Molly then told us the story of "The Dog and His Reflection" an Aesop's Fable and we got to supply the sound effects! If you click here, you can read Molly's version of the story.

Poet Adrian Rice visited us too, with stories about what it is like to be a poet. He shared his first poem with us and talked about how he turned his story about a pig into a poem. We really enjoyed having Molly & Adrian visiting our class. Poetry & Drama are fun!
