Mr. DS. Rao, M.Tech, (PhD) JNTU , MBA

Associate Professor - HoD

 

Mr. DS Rao , who studied under Dr. GR. Babu ,later joined ECIL R&D. He  worked in Television R&D division  for 20 years. His other areas of interest are :  new product development, marketing and also in establishing Quality System procedures in an organization.

He was picked for training the trainers for ISO 9001. He is also actively involved in learning new technologies. He had a brief 4 year stint in the IT industry in application software and networking technologies training. He was also in charge of the node that provided private high-speed internet access (dial-up and leased lines) during the early years of internet in Hyderabad (1998-   ). Subsequently, he shifted to teaching by joining the ECE department of  Vasavi College of Engineering , Ibrahimbagh.  He worked there fro 4 ˝ years during which he established the Embedded systems Lab  and taught  C/C++ , Analog Electronic circuits, Linear Integrated Circuits and Applications, Pulse & Digital circuits, Microprocessors & Microcontrollers before shifting to SVIT.  In SVIT, he worked under Dr. GR. Babu Professor & HoD. He established the  Microprocessors Lab and currently teaches  Microprocessors and Interfacing  circuits, Signals & Systems, Analog Communications.

Mr. Ashok Babu Chilaka, M.Tech , (PhD) JNTU

Assistant Professor

 

With vast and varied experience in railways and teaching, Ashok is a much loved teacher in the department by a cross-section of students not only in the parent department but also in other departments. His hard work and tenacity,  when it comes to improving the performance levels of students is admired by all. He teaches EDC , VLSI and  DICA. He can also teach Signals and Systems, PTSP  and  Network analysis. He also teaches Measurement Systems to the Mechanical Engg students.  He  is also authoring a book on Network Analysis. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Low power VLSI design from JNTU under the guidance of Dr. GR. Babu and Prof. K.Lal Kishore, Rector, JNTU.

Ms. Y.N. Jyothi  ,   (M.Tech)

Assistant Professor

 

A graduate  from Chaitanya Bharati Institute of Technology with over five years of experience, she is ideally cut out for teaching. Ms. Jyothi is very popular among the students as she takes innovative teaching to new heights. She is both flexible and a hard task-master. She assesses situations quickly and steps in to help voluntarily. This one quality makes her indispensable in the department. She teaches LICA to the third year students and also handles the PDC and LDIC Labs.

Mr. Raj Kumar Agarwal, (M.Tech) (Microwave & Radar Engg) OU

With over four years of teaching and a masters specialization in Microwave & Radar Engg. from Osmania University, Mr. Agarwal  is a teacher of  great promise and is well on his way to becoming a much respected academician. He has all the attributes of becoming an outstanding  research  scholar in  the near future. He has honed his skills in the field of Microwaves under Dr. GR. Babu( former HoD )  and Dr. Prasad (OU) who is his project guide. He teaches EMTL, PTSP , Analog Communication and also handles the Microwave Engg  Lab.

Ms. J. Naga Deepthi  ,  (M.Tech) JNTU

A teacher who is an instant hit with the students with her lucid presentation skills and a charming and disarming smile.  Ms. Deepthi, has over 3 yrs  of teaching experience. She hails from a family of  outstanding academicians. She teaches EDC, ECA and also handles the Laboratory efficiently. She is currently pursuing her M.Tech in Signals & Systems from JNTU under the SSS scheme.

Ms. J. Mrudula ,  M.Tech (Instrumentation)

A teacher who conducts herself in a quiet and efficient manner, Ms. Mrudula takes her job quite seriously. She is very methodical and measured in handling the students. She is a teacher who has the potential for  research in the near future. She handles EDC for first years and Digital Logic Design as a service course.

Mr. Daimi Syed Naser, B.Tech

Always on the move from one lab to another lab / classroom, invariably with a couple of  students in tow,  Mr. Naser is a very active member of the department. A soft spoken personality , he is a hardworking and patient individual who enjoys being among students. He has been instrumental in strengthening the Microprocessors and Microcontrollers lab and later in establishing the Embedded systems Lab. At a young age, he is a spiritual oasis in the department as he is deeply religious and an intellectual in the making.

Mr. Indra Babu , B.Tech

A graduate from Nagarjuna University, Mr. Babu adds variety to the teaching styles in the department. He works his way quietly through the day attending to his classes and lab sessions. He is always seen either improving his knowledge by studying books or doing experiments at the lab desk. He has a pleasing demeanor but is serious when it comes to academics. ‘Never a dull moment’  is a phrase that aptly describes Mr. Indra Babu. He has a bright future.

Ms. Vinaya Sri Lakshmi , B.Tech

With a charming smile and a quiet and unruffled disposition, Vinaya , as she is fondly called by her colleagues,  takes on her teaching assignments with effortless ease. She endeared herself to the department as she climbed the academic ladder with her grit and determination. She is a teacher who is ever resourceful and  ever smiling. She handles Electronic Measurements and Instrumentation (EMI) for the final years and Digital Logic Design as a service course. She is extremely efficient in handling the lab sessions  for  EDC and ECA batches.

 

Mr. Rama Koti Reddy , M.Tech

Mr. Reddy joined the department very recently. He specializes in Digital Signal Processing and teaches Digital Image Processing to the final year students. He is  sharp, intelligent and inquisitive in his areas of specialization. He is efficient in handling the course curriculum and is well on his way to becoming a successful teacher. He guides students effectively. He carved a niche for himself  in  department within a very short span.

Ms. Sreelatha ,   B.Tech ,

With noteworthy experience in IT industry and teaching, Ms Sreelatha knows the art of teaching. She is popular among the student community and is also successful in producing the desired results. Her record as a teacher has been very good. She handles the class room dynamics very well. She currently teaches Digital Logic Design and EDC (for first years).

A teacher with over two years of teaching experience, she joined SVIT ECE Dept. six-months ago. She has the right attitude for becoming a successful teacher. She currently teaches Optical Communication theory and Lab for the final year. Her bubbly disposition adds life to the department and is a highly motivating personality.

A teacher with over one year experience, she joined  the ECE Dept of SVIT. six-months ago. She teaches CO for the third year students. She is a teacher who is quietly working her way to the top. Being resourceful she is an asset to the department.

Ms. Nirmala is a teacher withone year experience. She handles the subjects of Diital Logic Design and Microprocessors and also  conducts the Microprocessors Lab. She is a resourceful person in the department and has aptitude for higher learning.

Ms. Lavanya stepped into teaching six months ago.  She teaches Digital Communications to the third year ECE students. She is quite resourceful in the department and handles lab sessions efficiently. A  fast learner, she has all the attributes of becoming a good teacher.

Ms. Rajeshwari

 

Supporting the department since its inception, only one designation fits her perfectly : “All-in-one”. She is the backbone of the ECE department. With her experience, patience and versatility, she takes care of the important tasks of Lab Management (including daily sessions and annual purchases) and Office Management (including report management, exam question paper issue and other varied activities that crop up from time to time. She is the focal point for all in the department.

 

Mr. Chandra Mohan

Data Entry Operator

 

He is a new comer to the department and assists

Ms. Rajeshwari in all tasks involving data entry  operations.

He takes care of all information processing from and to the department.

He is also trying to achieve higher qualifications that enhance his career  goals.

 

 

 

Mr. Vijay Kumar

Vijay has considerable experience in the electronic industry in testing and repairing test and measurement equipment. He is patient and hardworking while it comes to instructing the students. He is also a sensitive artist.

 

Mr. Ramakotaiah

He is with the department for the last 1 ˝ years. HE handles the Microprocessor Lab and ECAD Lab.

She is a recent addition to the Digital Signal Processing lab. She also assists the faculty in other labs whenever required.

Having a long-standing tenure in the department, she takes pride in offering a neat department every day. She is one person whose magic touches every member some time or the other everyday. Always the first to arrive and last to leave, no one misses her presence in the department. Truly an asset to the department.
