Band Trips 09/25/2006 Due to the fact that we are planning to take several trips this semester that will require permission slips, I am sending you a �general� permission slip that will cover all trips currently on the calendar. A schedule for each event will be sent home, e-mailed and posted on the website so you will know when students leave and return. Transportation for all trips will be by activity bus. Please sign and return this permission slip by Thursday, September 28th. 09/25/2006 This weekend we will be traveling to Albemarle High School to observe the marching bands competing there. It is also planned for us to �shadow� a group as they go through the process of preparing to go on the field for competition. I feel this trip is very important for them to see other bands, get a better idea of what marching band is all about, see what goes into preparing for a field shoe performance and to see how a different group operates. In the next two years, I would like to see EMHS taking the field in competition at an event like this and I think it is very important for them to see first-hand how it all works before jumping into it. We will be leaving at 11:00 am this Saturday (please be at the band room by 10:45) and returning between 10:00 and 10:30 pm. Food will be available in the stadium, so please be prepared to buy concessions. Please eat breakfast before leaving for the trip. |
