Radio Ga-Ga (10/05/06)

That was a fun couple of weeks. Comiserations to all those not yet experiencing the benefits of the continuous assessment and currently enduring a vile series of exams. Try taking your books out into the sun for a while. If you happened to be in the international bar on 8th May thanks for coming. It was a pleasure to play a fully acoustic in such an intimate environment. Respect is due to Jacqueline for organising such an enjoyable evening with a range of talented acoustic performers. If you're looking for a way of spending your monday nights I can highly recommend it. We also dropped by Anna Livia FM 103.2 studios on wednesday to record an acoustic performance for Colm Hanley's "That's Entertainment" programme. They'll be playin a myspace track today to promote the show and broadcasting the performance/interview next thursday at 2pm. Having our first interview was a particular treat. I became even more psyched when I found out Colm has interviewed both Mark Hamill AND Chris Jericho in the past (I can only assume on separate occasions).

Well thanks for popping in despite any study commitments. Take confort that the sun and the grass will still be there once your finished.

Voodoo Lounge and Beyond (29/04/06)

"Mellow Dramatics", our first LP, is currently being developed by Aidan and myself. It's set to include acoustic recordings going all the way back to last summer. All tracks are in the process of being tweaked at the moment, so you can expect the album to finished by the time summer comes around. Our gig on the 24th April was a great success. For those who couldn't make it to the Voodoo Lounge, we played several acoustic numbers, including "The Way It Seems", mixed in with a set of electric tracks you mite recognise from our gig in Eamon Dorans. I'd like to thank everyone who made it out and, of course, "Fred and Bob", "The Ruse" and "The Penguin Experiment" for sharing the bill with us. Check out those my space addresses to hear their stuff. Well that's all for now. We're both finished college pretty soon, so you can expect to be hearing more of us as summer rolls along. Lets hope it stays warm.

And So it Begins... (30/05/05)

25 songs have been written and rising. One song, an acoustic number called The Same Way, has been recorded. I've been keeping mself busy since I got off college 3 weeks ago. I worked as an extra in the new lassie movie, dressing up as a dirty a minor and being led around with about 50 other people all day like a flock of sheep. I woke up in the middle of the night having nightmares about being in a concentration camp. I put it down to a long days work and a dodgy hotdog I had for my dinner. Oh well. Aidan's been real busy too, finishing up his college work all the way up to last week. We had our first practice in ages and the shits sounding better then ever. New Star Wars, Sin City, Weezer, The White Stripes, Beck, Queens of the Stone Age, System of a Down all in one year and now the summers stretching out way off infront of me. An exiting time to be alive. The website is under heavy construction but I'll keep you updated on the opening of new sections from here so stayed tuned. Don't Go Up the Mountains
