History

EarlGrey was first founded in Autumn 2003. The leaves hung red on the trees. Some of the bolder leaves hung yellow (cheeky bastards). Two friends decided to write songs and play covers until the leaves made up their minds. Niall wrote the songs first. Then Aidan took up guitar and wrote even more songs. They played small gigs, support acts for friends, Battles of the Bands, that kind of shit. They started recording in the Summer of 2005. If this is story of EarlGrey, then this is hopefully the prologue (though if it ever comes to writing a story of EarlGrey, I'll probably just make most of it up). Keep 'em peeled.

Niall McNamee (Vocal, Guitar, Piano)

Born in a hospital on the 28th March 1986, Niall soon discovered he had an aptitude in baby speak and falling about the place. These talents would lay dorment for many years, only to re-ememerge in his late teens as part of the formation of EarlGrey and his casual alcohol addiction. Between these two periods, Niall took up 6-string guitar, bass guitar and piano in reverse cronological order. He played with his friends. He played with his classmates. When he was alone, he played with himself (sometimes as much as three times a day). After a brief stint as a bass player in his brother's band, "Thirteenth Man Down", he joined with a friend who played the drums to form EarlGrey. Niall is currently a student in the TV & Film Production coarse at IADT Dun Laoghaire.
