The Night Before

Harsh city lights give way to the morning
The day after the night before
The sun shines on my face
I wipe the sleep from my eyes, came without warning,
It’s gone and left me blind
Recollect my thought is everything in place

But I can still recall you
Though my memory’s been left in a haze

As we stared at the sunset across the bay

I had a little to drink

Hadn’t ate all day tired ad hungry
