You know it as well as I do. Forget being sensitive, forget being politically correct. You know you�ve thought it at least once. Too many stupid assholes are reproducing.
This would be no big deal, except that we have an overpopulation problem and the only people that are curtailing their reproduction in response are the enlightened and intelligent people who are aware of the overpopulation problem. So not only are there are too many people, but the percentage of stupid assholes is increasing. And just in case you�re thinking that I�m talking about certain cultural or ethnic groups of people, I�m not. I am not talking about genetics, I�m talking about morons. Dangerous idiots who raise their children to be dangerous idiots. And in an overpopulated society, it�s more likely for potential dangerous idiots to realize their potential.
An experiment was done (that I�ve heard rumors about and I have no verification whatsoever of its validity but I�m going to accept it as fact anyway) in which rats were confined into a finite space and slowly, their population was increased. These rats were gentle and benign until a certain critical overpopulation was reached and then they started doing nasty, violent things to each other. There are already anecdotal instances where humans in similar situations act just as violently when there are too many damn people and not enough space and resources. Somehow this keeps happening in soccer stadiums. I think because they don�t have the calming effect of those wacky mascots and the shapely cheerleaders, and I haven�t been to a soccer match, but I suspect they don�t have those good hot dogs either. I like those. With the onions especially.
But I digress. The point is, overpopulation isn�t just a problem of depleted resources. It makes people violent and crazy, and as we overpopulate, we will continue to commit violence against one another in nasty ways and frankly, this crap starts in the home, women and children are always the first victims. Then it goes to the streets, then people start marching on the capitol and pretty soon, my TV show is pre-empted because the protesters are rioting and looting. Then to get our minds off our domestic problems we declare war on Grenada or Iraq or some other easily defeatable bozos, angering the religious idiots who commit atrocities, causing us to declare war on them and making even an idiotic boob who stole the presidency look like a viable world leader. If our anger ever subsides, we may realize what fucking dangerous shit we�re in.
And all because too many stupid assholes are reproducing. What comes next, according to overpopulation experts, is a mass die-off, where the population, by necessity, will somehow get drastically cut. It looks like we�re working on that right now, with the help of Israel and Palestine bombing each other over fucking real estate. But if we fail to destroy ourselves by war, there�s always the good old plague standby.
Is there any way to stop all this? Well, reducing overpopulation down to its numerical essence, we either need to increase the mortality rate or lower the birth rate. Increasing mortality on purpose, withholding medical care, ceasing funding for medical research, instituting the death penalty for late video returns, that all seems pretty ugly. Decreasing the birthrate is a little more doable, although it�s difficult to get the whole world, much less the majority of Americans, on the bandwagon. But since we can�t change the laws in other countries (at least not that we�re allowed to know about) we have to start with the good old USA and hopefully lead by example. What I propose is simple sterilization at birth and then an easy licensing test to be permitted to have children.
