| Journeys upriver are filled with uncertainties. A sudden heavy downpour could raise the water level very fast and slowing down the trip. There are other circumstances beyond our control which may delay the journey. If we could not make it to Long Jawe the same day, then we make camp on the river bank somewhere along the way. Lets experience spending the night under the sky, next to a river with nature's music soothing your mind to sleep. There is no worry of harm from wild animals as our boatmen are skill hunters themselves. The animals are the one that should get worried. Depend on the weather and the spot where we camp, our boatmen could disappear for a few hours to scout the area for some nocturnals. You would know that animals are around if you hear firing sound of their shotguns. We have to remind you that insect repellant is a necessity around here. Either you get yourselves rubbed with it or sleep next to our campfire. Even though we normally would avoid sleeping in the open, we would consider of letting you experience resting on the 'kerangan' - peeble bank of our great river. Sleep well! |

| Bath in the river before we take dinner. Pray it does not rain tonight. Otherwise it would be very troublesome to shift camp to higher ground when the water rises at night. | ||||||||||
