| We arrive at last. After a long tiring journey, we are now in the village where Malaysian soldiers defended this country from Indonesian army incursion about 40 years ago. You may roam around the whole village to explore the remnant of houses that we abandoned. We have a custom that once we 'bulak' (migrate or move out from one village to live in another village), we must let nature take its course and keep the houses as it was. I hope you come here during fruiting season so we can enjoy eating all the wild fruits. We will sleep in one of our houses that is still being maintained by some of our relatives who decided to stay put when the rest of us had moved out. Depending on what time we arrive, we will go cross river to bath in Long Jawe iot or the nearer Jawe river. The horizon darken early in Long Jawe. As we got no electricity, we would retire early. As you would imagine, the sound of nature during the night would be evident - the roaring sound of the river which is less than 50 meters away from the house would soothe you to sleep. Rest well, for tommorow would be another great day of adventure. |

| We moved out from this place three years ago under the instruction and surveillance of the government to give way for the construction of Bakun Dam. It is a quiet village now. | ||||||||
