Thunder Force V is the fifth installment in the wildly popular Thunder Force series and this first 32-bit installment of the series. The Thunder Force has been successful here and across the Pacific and is pretty much up there with the Gradiuses and Dariuses of times past. This game originally came out on the Sega Saturn in Japan, but due to the efforts of the Working Designs staff, this excellent game has finally reached our shores.
As far as the story goes, you, along with a ragtag bunch of pilots lead a squadron of new Thunder Force fighters knows as "Gauntlets" against the evil Guardian supercomputer in hopes of restoring peace on Earth. In short, you are Earth's last hope. Now let's get to the good stuff!
