Celtic Suffer Parkhead Disaster(3/14/04)
   In the opening game of the season, Celtic suffered a shock home defeat at the hands of Hibs.  Man of the Match Kaka was ecstatic after the game saying, "It was excellent to come to Celtic Park and get a result. It was a well earned victory for us."
     In a game that saw the home side have an 18-6 advantage in Shots on Goal, the away side struck first in thegame as they caught Celtic on the counter attack in the 42nd minute.  Chivu spotted Tomasson down the left flank who made a fool of Ferdinand and his chip back into the edge of the five yard box found the extended leg of Roy Makaay.

Celtic continued to dominate the game with a 55-45 possession advantage, but couldn't keep their shots on target. Later, in the 60th minute, it was William Gallas' turn to spot a forward downfield on a counter, this time Makaay beat Balde at the edge of the penalty box and found a diving Tomasson between Rio Ferdinand and Javier Zanetti.  Casillas kept Celtic alive making a few saves, and Celtic edged closer in the 75th minute, where Henrik Larsson pounced the rebound of a wicked Pavel Nedved shot.  Celtic had one last chance in the 89th minute, but the open Nedved tried his luck from 20 yards out by trying to go top left corner, but missed by inches.
