The Dobhar-chu, literally "water hound," is also known by some as the Master Otter. Though some sources describe it as half-dog, half-fish, most say it resembles both an otter and a dog. The Dobhar-chu is white with a dark cross-like mark across its back and lives in water; its short fur is said to have protective properties.
