COST OF LIBERTY Box Set (Jan. 09) - The year began w/ the 3rd Career Box Set, this time including 4 CD Samplers culled fromthe best of the material since 2004; 1.IDIOT SAVANT [04-05], 2. ON PARADE [06], HANDS OF TIME [07] ,
DON'T HOG YOUR JOURNEY [08] plus a 5th bonus CD w/
songs that were also ran selections left off the original yearly sampers. Then rounding out the box set for the first time, a DVD "BACK IT UP!", featuring two different career montages -"Gift From The Gods" a 15 minute hits mix and a shorter lesser known video video mix"Comfort" (09). The DVD also includes several other original videos from various stages of Mr Serious 30 yrs. "Oh No Boy", "Toaster Life" , "Fire & Desire" . . . |

DEAR DOWN (March 09} - The first new material release of the year was inpart inspired by Dud's first trip to the real mid- west state of Kansas. The album has a much more laid back sound and was actually recorded a lot more quicker than the unsual collection. The title track deals w/ the native american plight & wisdom. "Gapper" is the first track recorded w/ Dud's new procussive process. "Sara Varona" is a song about a Italian TV Star who's also pretty big on the intenet. There are two unusual covers; the Doors' "Touch Me" and Ray Stevens of all people's "Mr. Businessman" lyrics put to new music by Serious. |

TRIFECTA - vol. 5 Tribute Project - (June 09) the 2009 addition of the 3 Influential artist annual project this year features; actress Barbara Stanwyck, musician Andy Pratt & artist MC Escher !
The STANWYCK section includes; "Men Lie & Women are Stupid" , "Stay Afloat", "Fire & Desire" all inspired by the great actress w/ a 50 year career. ANDY PRATT - was a big star in the mid-70's and continued to make great music over the years but after beginning to make Christian music, he went off most radar; there are covers of his,"Who Will Be My Friend", "Sumer
Summer" & "It's Not the End Of The World" plus an original trib "Come Back Andy". The ESCHER section - "20 Years Pretending", "SiFraction" & a cover of Momus's "MC Ecsher" . |

EPIC (July 09) - Over the years, even before Dudley's solo career got started, a number of his originals took on the form of long rambling Epic tales! As a summer project a career collection was put together of such longer pieces recorded over the years. Well, it turned out that sicne they were longer in length, it ended up growing into a 2 CD Set. Besides the previous released songs, two new exclusive track were recorded; "Beg In Ning" & "Dr Sardonicus" plus new arrangements of; "Spew To Me Why", "Mountians, Clouds, Herbs & Roots". That's not me on the cover ! |

PRETENDING {vol.#2 Covers} (Sept. 09) - as w/ last years cover album, this one features Dud's unique take of some obscure song by some great artists! "Down River" by David Ackles, "Orange Crate Art" - V.D.Parks, "He Hit Me (& it felt like a kiss)" by C.King & P.Spector, Brian Wilson's "Do You Have Any Regrets", "Norwegian Wood" (?), "Seeds 4 Sale" - Great Lakes Myth Society, John Harford's "Boogie", Todd Rundgren's "Pretending To Care", Randy California's Spirit Classic "Nature's Way" plus the first cover of a Serious Tune, "Sunshine After The Rain" sung by the song's lyricist Kate Webb ! |

The remainder of the year is planned to be devoted to the final '09 album !
the GIBBERISH release should be very interesting ! For the past few years Mr Serious has become a bit more accessible in his song - so it's time to shake things up a bit ! He is once again attempting to devise an even more original type of music.
