Final Record: 5-11
NEWS
April 3rdThe next HSTL season has begun and I have switched from the Saints to the Vikings at the request of one Tsbrmm Rob. I hope he has better luck with the Saints than I did.
Feb. 11th Well, the season is over. The stats are all updated. Marino, Bailey, Ingram and Cook provided a solid offense for me, there is no excuse for me not winning alot of games this season. My defense was poor but mainly I just couldn't get it done when it counted. I had 10 games I should have won this year if only I would have played as well as expected, and I only won 5 of them. If I get around to it I'll post about my dissapointing losses to Bruddog and Reggie. The key was Marino threw 2 picks in each game, all interceptions coming during important times on key drives. I think all the interceptions came somewhere in the opposing team's red zone. I just can't cash it in. Maybe next year.
Feb. 5th Today I updated the schedule so if anyone cares they now know what is going on. I've been on a slight winning streak of 4 (remember, our games are played a little out of order sometimes) giving me a record of 5-9. I have the ability to play spoiler with two final games against teams hoping to make the playoffs, Pitt and S.F. San Fran has been slightly dissapointing this year, and Pittsburgh has started to slide since Reggie Smash traded away Barry Sanders after inheriting an undefeated team from TSBrmm. Considering the fact that I will have had to play at least 9 of my 16 games against teams who are going to the playoffs, I think that if I can pull out a 7-9 season I'll be fairly happy. Hopefully I'll get around to putting up game summaries of the games I've completed and haven't posted, but for now I've just put up links to the HSTL summary pages which aren't very thorough.
Jan:27Four games have been played since I last updated the site, the stats for those games are all up, summaries will be posted shortly hopefully along with an update on the schedule and so forth.
Dec:12The Summary and Stats are now updated, including the San Fran loss and the crapfest against Pheonix, which I lost 42-14.
Dec:5 Lost yet another heartbreaker, this time to the San Fransisco 49ers. Leading 21-14 going into the fourth, I blew it. After a td made it 21-21 I drove down for the winning score... which never came. A missed field goal and a Jerry Rice Hail Mary later the game was over, 49ers 28 Saints 21. Stats and summary will be up soon.
Dec:2 Added a link to my CNFL AAA team, the 1970 Minnesota Vikings, who are Fran Tarkentenless :(
Nov:25The Saints beat the Raiders 49-14, finally getting the Raiders to play the game scheduled for week 1.
Nov:12 Saints lose to the Steelers 21-28 in a rediculous game. Driving in for the win late in the 4th, I fumble (obviously, I didn't recover it. I haven't recovered one all year) and it was picked up and returned for a TD.
Nov:7 Saints lose to the Rams 35-7. I beat them 35-21 in a practice game, but that was with Marino at the helm. He got injured with the score tied at 7 in this one. The summary and stats are up. At least Johnny Bailey is doing well.
Nov:2 Saints lose to the Bears by 3. The summary and stats are up, and Coach Mora, Ass Coach/Off Coordinator Denny Green had some interesting things to say.
Oct:30 Mark Ingram and Harry Hamilton are off the table, as no one wants them and trading is over anyway. The schedule has been released for weeks one through four, and the 'schudule' page has been updated and previews for these games are posted on the 'games summary page.'
Oct. 26: So far I've beaten the crap out Bruddog and Paul Narula in the last 4 practice games, losing each game on average by about 21 points. I bet they didn't see that coming! FEEL THE WRATH OF CHUCK CECIL!!! Next time I'll run up the score and only lose by 14.
Thanks to the wonderful QB Rating Calculator found at The Tecmo Repository Dan Marino's astronomical numbers will not have to be sent away to NASA in order to calculate his rating.
So far the only trade of the season from New Orleans was on draft day where they shipped out the 3.24, 7.24, and 9.24 for the 5.13, 5.23, and 6.12 picks. Essentially [Rodney Peete, Mark Kelso and Leonard Smith, and the Lions Dl for Hardy Nickerson and David Little, Harry Hamilton and Mark Robinson, and Mark Ingram]

I have a Savior, He's pleading in glory,
A dear, loving Savior, though earth friends be few;
And now He is watching in tenderness over me,
But oh that my Savior were your Savior, too..
I have a Father; to me He has given
A hope for eternity, blessed and true;
And soon He will call me to meet Him in heaven,
But oh that He'd let me bring you with me, too!
I have a robe; 'tis resplendent in whiteness,
Awaiting in glory my wondering view;
Oh, when I receive it, all shining in brightness,
Dear friend, could I see you receiving one, too!
When Jesus has found you, tell others the story,
That my loving Savior is your Savior, too;
Then pray that you Savior will bring them to glory,
And prayer will be answered-'twas answered for you!
For you I am praying, For you I am praying,
For you I am praying, I'm praying for you.
