Her name is Kayla, and when she sent me this suggestion, I agreed with it, and decided to make a chapter out of it. If you guys send me a suggestion, and I like it, I WILL make a chapter for it!!!! Come on everyone, the concert is tomorrow. Lets get back to work said the director. Lets try Not To Young, Not To Old again he added. Now they had finished their 30-minute lunch break, and had started to get back to work so they would be ready for the concert. Kayla was walking to take her place and she heard a couple of other dancers talking Boy, I cant wait for the concert tomorrow said 1 boy. Ya. Im so exited that Dream Street is gonna open for us! Its so exiting! They are the new greatest and hottest band of the year said a girl. Ya. I cant wait agreed another boy. What is it about Dream Street? How can everyone like them all of the sudden? For goodness sake, they sound horrible she thought. Kayla sighed as she took her place behind Aaron. Diana had loved the CD she got her, but Kayla didnt tell her about meeting Jesse... just the part about breaking up with Ethan. Kayla had no clue that Jesse was from Dream Street... and she would have if she told Diana, but she kept it a secret. Aaron noticed she was thinking and he waved his hand in front of her face Hello, earth to Kayla? You OK? You seem to be thinking a lot today. Opps. Sorry Aaron she replied, getting back to reality. He asked something wrong? No, nothing. Just thinking about the concert she answered. Aaron didnt believe her, but he took his place anyway. The song began, and another after another came. Finally, the director said ok. You can go now. But I want everyone here at 8:20 tomorrow so we can have some more practice. Thats the last thing I need. I thought hed never say we could go Kayla thought walking out the door. Diana stood in front of her when she got out the door are you gonna talk to me or what? Sorry. Im just... she stopped. She was dazed thats what. Nothing. I guess Im just exited about tomorrow she explained. Diana seemed concerned are you sure? Ya. Im just... spacey toady said Kayla. When she started to walk forward, Aaron opened the door and said Kayla; the director wants to speak to you. Ill meet you at the car said Diana walking toward the parking lot. Kayla nodded and said Right. Say Aaron, do you know what this is about? To tell you the truth, I have no clue he said leading her through the door and back to where they were just dancing. Kayla said you wanted to speak to me sir? Yes I did Kayla. I noticed today you were lacking a bit in dancing. If you dont feel good, we can always get another dancer for the concert tomorrow the director said looking at Kayla. Kayla was a bit shocked, but she shook her head and said n-no sir. You dont need to do that. Im fine, but I am a little spacey. Please sir, I promise shell be fine by tomorrow morning. Its ok if she was a little off today. It happened to a couple others yesterday. I bet Kayla will be even better by tomorrows practice, so I dont think there is any need to replace her said Aaron not wanting Kayla to be replaced. All right. But just to make sure, lets do a few more songs. If you do well, I wont replace you for tomorrow said the director thoughtfully. Aaron asked do you want me to do it with her? Only if you want to. But you dont have to sing. Kayla was fine in the singing part, its just the dancing that Im concerned about said the director. Ill do my best sir said Kayla. Aaron walked up beside her and asked are you sure nothings wrong? Yes. But thanks Aaron. Im just dazed for some reason she explained. OK you 2. Lets do Leave It Up To Me for starters. Then we can move on to a few more said the director. About a-half-an-hour later, she was finally released from the studio, with the director saying that she did better and he would not replace her. Now she was in a good mood, and headed to the parking lot, where Diana was inside the car waiting, with her new DS CD blaring. Kayla got in and turned it down Im back. We can go now. All right hold your horses. I was listening to that said Diana, but Kayla said she didnt want it on so Diana didnt turn it back on. Kayla explained why she was late, and what happened and he said that I did better than earlier, and that he wont replace me! Thats great because it would be really different without you there said Diana. After dinner, it was 8:30. I think Ill go to bed early, to make sure I can be as good as possible tomorrow said Kayla laying down on her bed. I agree. I want to look my best for Dream Street said Diana shutting the light off. Kayla lay awake for an hour, just thinking about her incredible breakup with Ethan, and meeting Jesse. I better get some sleep. The director will replace me no matter what if I look tired tomorrow she thought. She finally fell asleep 1 hour after Diana did, only wondering who Jesse was, and will she ever see him again? Too bad it was too dark in the room to see the CD case. But, she would figure it all out tomorrow... Morning Kayla! Kayla yawed and sat back up on the bed after putting her hair up Good morning Diana. Do you want me to make breakfast again? Na. lets go out today since we got out concert tonight. Remember that we only got 2 more after this till we are off! Ya. Thats a relief. Didnt the director say we had 3 more weeks off after our last concert of this tour? Yes. I remember he said that! But we get off 1 more week since weve been working so hard Diana added. Thats wonderful said Kayla when she finished brushing her hair. Ya. Then we can go see what New York really is and explore after this 5-month tour around the USA agreed Diana getting some money. Lets go so we wont get in a wait line and be late for the last minute practice thing said Kayla walking out the door into Dianas aunts garage. Diana nodded and hopped in the front seat of her rent-a-car Right. You wanna go to that breakfast place that we past last night? Ya. It looked pretty good and its worth a try. And it looked like it got a lot of business. I heard its the most famous restaurant here said Diana. Hurry cause Im hungry said Kayla. Diana soon turned into the parking lot of a big restaurant with a lot of cars. Surprising them, it turned out to be no wait! Yes. You came early, and we have tons of seats so there is no wait. Follow me said the waitress. Diana asked studying the menu hmm... what to order? Good question. They have a humongous menu Ill spend all day just thinking what I want for breakfast agreed Kayla also reading the menu. Ill just have the 3 pancake breakfast with sausage said Kayla when the waitress returned. And I guess Ill have... same thing said Diana not knowing what else to order. (In another side of the restaurant) I love coming here to eat! They have great food said a boy with blond hair. I gotta agree with you there, Matt said another boy with brown spiky hair with blond tips. Another boy laughed ya. Im glad they put us in the back this time. Remember what happened last time when we were like in the middle? I sure do Frankie. We would have been signing autographs and stuff for the rest of our lives agreed another boy laughing. (Back at Kayla and Dianas table I feel at if someones watching me.... said Kayla suspiciously. Diana handed the waitress the bill and looked at Kayla Stay calm. We gotta leave for practice in a few minutes so relax ok? Im fine. I cant wait for the concert either. Its just...I feel as if someone is staring at me protested Kayla. Well, were leaving anyway, so get ready and ignore that feeling. Someone could be looking at you, big deal! Well, got my change back, lets go said Diana. All right all right, you dont gotta get so exited said Kayla getting up. Sorry. Guess Im sorta nervous said Diana. Kayla asked puzzled weve had a concert a million times before. Why in the world are you nervous? Then Kayla realized the answer and rolled her eyes its just Dream Street! Weve had other bands open for us before! Why is this so different? There...I dont know how to put it...new and I like them better than the other bands replied Diana. The girls didnt know that Dream Street was listening to their conversation, because they had stopped in font of the isle that they were sitting at because Diana had to tie her shoe. Youre just weird sometimes Diana said Kayla sighing and walking with her out the door. Well, that proves it she didnt know I was in the band said Jesse. But her friend sure did said Frankie. Greg asked confused then how come she didnt ask about what Jesse looked like, and realizes that he was in our band? Well genius, she might not have told Diana replied Chris. Matt asked hey Jess, do you know if they live in New York? No. She didnt tell me when I met her replied Jesse shaking his head. But I gotta admit, she is pretty said Frankie. Jesse rolled his eyes and smiled. The guys were always like that when he met a girl. Well, lets head to the studio so we can prepare for the concert tonight said Chris getting up. Ya. Plus we dont even know what songs we are singing said Greg. I think were singing 3 said Matt. Frankie laughed do you think we should run out the door incase we meet anyone? Na. lets just walk. But we can take the shorter way said Jesse. Fine by me said Chris. They ended up having to sign 3 autographs anyway. They walked out the door and into the parking lot. Well meet you there said Matt. He walked over to his car with Jesse and Chris and got in. Sure. And dont get stuck in a traffic jam this time called Frankie laughing while walking with Greg to his car. (Back with Diana and Kayla getting to the studio) Kayla opened the door and walked through then colliding with Aaron Were not late are we Aaron? About 2 minutes early. No big deal said Aaron laughing. Well then, lets hurry said Diana walking ahead while Aaron helped Kayla up. Shes so enthused about the concert tonight; she wont even help me up said Kayla rolling her eyes. Aaron smiled It happens. You felling better today? A lot. Thanks Aaron replied Kayla smiling. Good. I was getting worried I would have to put up with someone else tonight said Aaron walking toward where the dancing part of the studio they were using was with Kayla following. Well, you look better today Kayla said the director. Yep. I cant wait for the concert said Kayla smiling. And another reason is for so we can take a break thought Kayla. She saw that some of the other dancers werent there yet so she joined a conversation with a few of the others that were there. A girl asked isnt it so exiting that Dream Street is opening for us Kayla? I guess. Im not really exited about that, Im just exited about the concert. Are they your favorite band or something Melody? Of course! Ive had their CD ever since we went to California Melody replied smiling. Show Kayla the CD case to let her see what they look like said another girl. I wish I could but I left it at my house so I wouldnt lose it Melody replied. The same girl asked didnt Diana buy the CD? Kayla nodded ya. But she left it at her aunts house to so it wouldnt get messed up. Do you like them to Rachel? Rachel smiled and exclaimed I love them! Their sooo cute! Another girl walked up to them and asked, which is your favorite boy Rachel? I am obsessed with Matt. Hes got the same hair color, eye color, and we like a lot of the same things replied Rachel. Melody asked you like them to Courtney? I love them to no end! My favorite is Chris Courtney answered. Kayla asked what about you Melody? Greg. Always Greg Melody replied. Hey girls said another dancer walking up to the group. Hiya Laura greeted Rachel cheerfully. We were just talking about DS informed Courtney. Kayla groaned you mean you like them to? Ya. My cousin told me about them and I love them now said Laura. Melody asked who is your fav.? Mine? Its Frankie of course said Laura. Then came a new voice from behind hey you guys! Kayla turned around and saw her other friend walk up to her. Oh. Hey Alicia greeted Kayla. Laura asked Hey Alicia; didnt you say you liked Dream Street to? Ya. My friend Jessica talked about them so much she got me hooked on them...somehow replied Alicia. OK I think everyone is here. Lets get started with Aarons Party then run down the line. Take your places said the director. Everyone took their places for the song, and talked on the way to their spots. Meet me for lunch guys said Melody. Sure Mel said Rachel. The music started and the warm-up began, followed by Aaron Oh Aaron, and others. They had a blast doing it to. And Kayla was paying attention! Soon it was only 2 hours before the concert.... And everyone was really exited, but mostly Aaron. Hey, you guys just have to do the back up singing, I am the 1 whos doing all the work said Aaron to Kayla who was helping him clean up around the studio. That doesnt mean you have to be nervous. Youve done this a million times before, and only made a minor mistake 1 or 2 times. Youre great Aaron encouraged Kayla. You know it seems like you are 1 of the only people who can encourage me like that said Aaron looking at Kayla. Kayla asked teasingly that was a complement... right? Of course it was! Because I know it wasnt an insult said Aaron laughing. Well, since were done I guess I should go outside and wait for Diana. She should be done doing whatever she was by now said Kayla checking her watch. Ya. Better get ready for the concert to agreed Aaron. Well, Ill see ya there said Kayla walking out the door. Aaron called back See you! Kayla had to wait 7 minutes before she finally saw Dianas car pull into the parking lot and pull up to her. She rolled her eyes when she heard the Dream Street CD playing. She turned it off not hearing what they sounded like, and said sarcastically nice to see you could make it. Very funny. We better speed it up a bit so we will be on time for the concert tonight Diana said driving out from the parking lot and onto the street. Ya. The concerts in 1 and a half-hours and I still gotta get dressed and stuff agreed Kayla. Well, Ill break the speed limit by 2 miles so we can get there faster said Diana laughing. Kayla smiled and said jokingly Dont Diana! Well get arrested for 3,639 years! They both laughed and Diana turned down the street that led to her aunts house. Kayla asked thoughtfully Well Diana, when we were waiting for the other dancers to show up, I talked with some of the girls and they all loved Dream Street. I learned their names to. Who is your favorite guy? Mine you ask? It used to be a tie between Matt and Greg, but now I love Greg. Matt is a sweetie of the group though, as they say said Diana soon pulling into her aunts driveway and parking the car. (Back in another studio...) Alright guys, thats enough. Now you can go back to your houses and get ready to open for Aaron Carter tonight said DSs director. Frankie sighed and walked over to the vending machine Phew, I thought wed never get released! But we did said Chris thankfully grabbing the Coke can that he bought. Ya. I cant wait actually said Jesse opening his Sprite. Greg asked I didnt hear the director saying what songs we were going to sing. What were they again? We were gonna sing Sugar Rush, Get Funky and It Happens Every Time answered Matt drinking some water. Chris turned to Matt Hey Matt; do you mind if you can pick me up at my house? Something is wrong with my car and its gonna be done by tomorrow. Matt answered gladly sure Chris. You want me to pick you up to Jester? Sure Matt. Thanks again answered Jesse smiling. Hey no problem. Come on guys, we better go home to get ready said Matt throwing his bottle in the trash can. Ya. See you guys at the concert tonight said Greg walking down the hallway to the door with Frankie. Chris and Jesse said at the same time See ya! Well, we better get going to. Come on guys said Matt going down the same hallway that Greg and Frankie just did. Once they all got in Matts car, Chris asked I wonder what Kayla meant by its just Dream Street? So do I. I mean I couldnt hear what else she was saying cause she was looking down, but Im still confused said Jesse thoughtfully. You never know was all that Matt said. (Back at Dianas aunts house) Diana knocked on the bathroom door ready Kayla? Ya. I just gotta put my hair up so it wont get in my face when we dance she said opening the door. OK. Ill tell my aunt were leaving while you do. My CD case is in my drawer case you were wondering she heard Diana say before Diana walked out the door. Kayla looked at herself in the mirror again, making sure she looked OK. She smiled and opened the door. Only a half an hour left to the concert. Better hurry she thought when she glanced at the clock {that rhymes!}. She pulled her hair into a ponytail, and ran out the door into the garage where Diana was already waiting. Kayla opened the door and jumped in the car. She asked you know where the concert is gonna be right? Ya. I asked Aarons Mom and she explained the way for me answered Diana already pulling out of the driveway onto the street. Diana asked on the way there can I please my DS CD? Youre gonna hear them at the concert. You dont need to hear them now protested Kayla. Oh alright. You dont gotta get all exited said Diana rolling her eyes. Diana added Hey that reminds me of something! She started to hum to the tune of Gotta Get the Girl. Kayla sighed and leaned back, trying to save her energy for the concert. About 20 minutes later, they were finally at the big concert place where they were to perform. Go around back said Kayla noticing all the people that were there with signs and stuff. OK. Oh ya, in the back is for the people who are part of the show and stuff said Diana driving into the back of the place. They saw a lot of cars, but not more than enough for a few dancers, and any other people that needed to be there to help the concert. Well, guess we better go in so we can tell the director that were here and start to warm up said Diana getting out. That might be a good idea said Kayla sarcastically. They hurried into the big building, and showing the guard their identity things. Kayla walked into a room were here! Good to see you Kayla. Go over into the practice room, which is right across the hall. Oh, and if you wanted to see Dream Street, their on in. about 10 minutes said the director who was talking to Mrs. Carter. OK thanks said Diana. When they went into the warming up room, there were 3 dancers leaving, and 2 going in, and 7 already in there chatting, and warming up. Hiya guys. Were gonna go see Dream Street said Laura. Alicia asked you guys coming? I am, and Ill make Kayla come said Diana with a suspicious smile. Hey, I can hear them off the speakers. I dont need to come so Ill just stay here protested Kayla stretching. OK said Melody sadly. Im just gonna stretch real quick, and Ill be right out assured Diana. OK. The others are already there called Melody before walking out the door. Diana quickly stretched and practiced her singing until it was only 5 more minutes. She ran out the door and down the hallway. Well, you must be the only girl here who is not going to go see Dream Street commented Aaron walking over to her. I dont think their good unlike everyone else replied Kayla sitting down on a couch. Aaron sat down next to her well; I was told that after the show, I could go meet them. And, I could also bring at least 3 people with me. Would you like to join me? I dont know said Kayla with a shrug. Aaron stood up when he heard his Mom yell his name Well, Im gonna see what my Mom wants and Ill be back in a couple of minutes. Decide OK? Kayla smiled sure Aaron. She leaned back and relaxed for a minute. She heard on the speakers {Ill put their names in (...) (Chris)Whats up everyone? It must be Dream Street she thought. (Greg) How you guys doing? (Frankie) You guys ready to rock? (Matt) OK! Thats what we thought so lets get this concert started! She heard the fans screaming in the background. But, the next voice that came through the speakers gave her a jolt and her eyes widened. Well everybody, Im sure you all know who I am? Ya! Well, the 1st song were gonna sing is called Sugar Rush announced the boy. That sounds like.... no! It cant be him thought Kayla shaking her head. She heard Sugar Rush start, and surprisingly, she thought this group, Dream Street, the 1 she called horrible, awesome! As she listened to the other 2 songs, she made up me mind. Dream Street was a really great band, and even though she only listened to 3 songs, she loved them, Ill tell Aaron Ill go with him to meet them she thought in a better mood. Soon she heard them saying (Matt) well everyone, sadly, were out of time! (Frankie) but we wanna thank all of you for coming! (Chris) and we really hope you enjoyed our concert. (Jesse) and we want to thank all our fans here, for helping make our dreams come true. (All of them) See you guys later! The fans cheered, and she knew that was her clue to go out. She jogged out of the door and met the girls in the hallway. Rachel asked so Kayla, do you like them now? Kayla smiled Actually, I thought they were great! Yes! I knew you would love them said Alicia happily. She pulled Diana aside before walking on with the girls to get into their positions for the concert. She asked why did DS sound different from the CD then live? Diana laughed my aunt has a really old CD player. It makes the CDs sound weird and different. Oh said Kayla. Come on everyone! Take your places for the 1st song called the director. She let Diana walk ahead, and waited for Aaron. She called when she spotted him hey Aaron! (On the other side of the stage where DS is being congratulated for a great concert by the dancers but they are on the same side as Kayla, Diana, Aaron...and the rest you get the point) Thanks a lot said Jesse after a girl said how great they were. All the guys repeated that over and over, but they never seem to get tired of it. But since Kayla was waiting for Aaron, she stepped off to the side to wait. Chris leaned over to Jesse hey Jess, isnt that Kayla over there? Jesse looked to where Chris was pointing, and sure enough, there was Kayla waiting for someone. It is her Jesse whispered confused. Chris whispered back why in the world is she here? And backstage for the matter? I dont know...wait! Why is Aaron... replied Jesse watching. Luckily, they were in a corner and the dancers were blocking them so only Kayla couldnt see them. (Back to Kayla) Aaron! There you are said Kayla having a strange feeling but ignoring it. Aaron stopped and smiled ya sorry. So do you want to come with me to...you know? Sure Aaron she answered smiling and starting to walk to her place. Just to let you know, Courtney is coming to. And I didnt ask anyone else. Hope you dont mind he said taking his place now talking in a lower voice. Nope she replied taking her place behind him. (Behind stage) Jesse...I think Kayla is a dancer for Aaron Carter said Matt astonished. So do I agreed Greg. Well, I never would have guessed said Jesse watching. Soon the concert started, and Jesse, Chris, and Matt stayed and watched for the first 3 songs, then walked back into their dressing room where Greg and Frankie were eating some snacks and drinking soda. While Matt and Chris sat on another couch, Jesse sat on a chair thinking. Well, who would guess she was a dancer for him? She is a great dancer though Jesse thought. Before they all knew it, the concert was over. They could hear Aaron saying thanks for coming! We all hope you all enjoyed it! Well, guess were going to have some company pretty soon said Frankie throwing his Sprite in the garbage. I hope he brings Kayla....this is starting to get confusing commented Jesse. Greg asked teasingly is that the only reason you want Aaron to bring Kayla? Very funny replied Jesse. They heard footsteps and laughter coming down the hallway, and they knew it was Aaron. Hey you guys, Im here said Aaron walking in. Hey Aaron, great concert said Chris. Thanks. You guys did a great job yourselves said Aaron sitting down next to Jesse. Courtney came in, who was freaking out, and followed by....(Well, yall know who) Kayla, who stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Jesse. Kayla said astonished J-Jesse?! Jesse smiled. Thats when I figured out you were a dancer for him. Plus, I saw you at breakfast he said. You saw me with Diana too? Yep he answered. Well... I guess you guys already met said Aaron. You can kinda say that said Kayla glancing at Aaron, now remembering the other guys and Courtney were in the room. Jesse, you were right. These are 2 of my dancers, Kayla and Courtney said Aaron. Nice to meet you said Chris smiling. Jesse looked at Kayla again say Kayla...I got a question. Do you still think we sound horrible? Kayla blushed and answered no. I dont. Diana explained to me why you guys sounded so bad. Her aunts CD player is really old, and it messes up CDs. And I would always hear your CD blaring in her car, but Id never listen to it. Until today, that is, when I heard you live. You guys are awesome. Thats all you need. Just hearing them made you change your opinion about them said Courtney with satisfactory, who was getting less nervous. Chris smiled hey, I was right! I thought it might have been the CD player they were using. Greg asked how old are you guys? Im the same age as Aaron, 14. Both of us are the youngest of the group said Kayla now she was the 1 who was nervous. And all the rest of us are 15 or older, like me explained Courtney. Matt asked have you guys been dancing with him since he started? I started to dance with Aaron 3 months after he began to sing informed Courtney. Even though Ive been dancing since I was 4, I joined the group about a year later. So, Ive only been here about a year said Kayla. Aaron turned to Jesse you guys said youve been in a group for 3 years now? Ya. 3 years. And our CD came out in 2001, but we recorded it about 6 months after we started Dream Street explained Jesse. They all talked about different things, some embarrassing, some funny, and some...well, weird. But they all had a good time, especially Kayla and Courtney. After a hour-and-a-half, Aarons Mom walked in. Aaron, we need to go. Your father is waiting for us in the parking lot she said. OK Mom, be right there said Aaron. His mom left, and Aaron got up. Aaron started to walk toward the door Well, I really enjoyed meeting you guys. Ill be seeing you later I guess. Hey, we have 2 more concerts here in New York, do you guys think you can open for us then too? Dream Street looked at each other we would love to open for you Aaron. Well tell our director about your idea said Frankie. Courtney asked when Aaron was gone when are you guys leaving here? When ever you guys leave answered Jesse smiling. For about another half-an-hour, they chatted about stuff. Ya know, about what their fav. things were and then comparing them to the others. Kayla noticed that Jesse was looking at Courtney and paying more attention to her then Kayla. Was she feeling... jealous? I cant be jealous of her! I only met Jesse 1 time... well 2ce now. But I dont even like him she thought. Kayla caught Chriss eye (yall know what that means... right?) and he smiled. Surprisingly, she found herself smiling, but she also blushed. About 20 minutes later, Kayla looked at her watch. Well, its almost 9:00. I guess I better leave and see where Diana is. Courtney paused her conversation with Jesse and looked at her do you think shes mad at you? Kayla laughed. Knowing her, she probably got tired of waiting after about 20 minutes, and headed over to Rachels house or something. Shes probably still their, looking up stuff on Rachels Moms computer and hasnt even noticed the time. Call her Courtney suggested. Good idea said Kayla looking her purse. She walked out the door, but she could still hear the guys talking softly. She dialed the number and waited. Hey Diana? Ya its me. Whats up? Oh. Your staying with Laura? Well... what about me? No thanks, Ill just go back to your Aunts house. I know I dont have a ride. Ill make it. Im sure. OK see ya tomorrow. Bye she hung up the phone. She walked in and sat back down in the chair. Anyway, she said I could come over, but I told her I didnt want to, and Id just go back to her Aunts house where were staying she finished. Kayla realized that she didnt ask what Courtney was doing. They walked down the hallway and out the backdoor while Courtney called Alicia on Kaylas cell. She said shell be here in 5 minutes she informed Kayla. I like Courtney not Kayla! They all said their Goodbyes and walked away, with Chris, Kayla, Jesse and Courtney staying behind waiting for Alicia to come. They talked a bit, but found themselves spechless a lot since they all talked for 2 hours. Finally, after about 12 minutes, her car pulled into the parking lot. Courtney turned around before she got in and called bye guys! Both Chris and Jesse said see ya. And Kayla called bye till Monday (its Saturday)! Chris turned to her shall we be going? She laughed and with a quick glance at Jesse, who seemed to be off in his own world, responded sure. Is Jesse coming? Ya. As you know, hes only 14 so he cant drive informed Chris turning around and starting toward his car. Come on Jess said Kayla grabbing Jesses hand and bringing him back to reality. Jesse laughed a bit and walked ahead of her, and wispering something quietly to Chris, but Kayla ignored their silent conversation. They all got in the car, and to Kaylas relief, Jesse sat up front with Chris. It seemed to be a sceduele. First, Chris and Jesse would talk about something totally different out loud, then they would talk softly. Then, Chris would talk to her, then Jesse, then all of them had a conversation, then it started over. But soon, about 20 minutes later, and after getting lost 1nce or 2ce, Chris finally pulled up at 9:39. See ya Jesse said casually. Thanks for bringing me here said Kayla, ignoring the odd, yet hurt, feeling she had. No problem Kayla. Anytime said Chris, and for some reason, he got out and walked up to the door with her. He looked at her and asked Hey Kayla, what are you doing tomorrow? Um... I dunno. I know we have practice in the morning... probably in the afternoon to she answered thoughtfully. Chris watched her, which made Kayla a bit nervous, You want to go out for dinner or something? She turned to him, realieved plus smiling, sure Chris. Ill go out with you to dinner or whatever. Ill tell Diana to, so she wont get worried and all. Though I know shell freak out she added laughing. Chris laughed a bit and told her quietly Jesses going out with Courtney tomorrow to, but I dont know what theyre really doing. I know I shouldnt have said that, but for some reason I did. OK. Well, Ill see you tomorrow Chris said Kayla walking to the door that opened to the side of the house. See ya he called and walked back down the driveway smiling. He told Jesse what happened when he got in the car, exept that part about telling her about Jesse. Great job Chris. I dont know what Im doing with Courtney. Guess shes off tomorrow so well probably go to a movie or something, then dinner. Im glad were off said Jesse as Chris drove out. So am I agreed Chris, not really knowing why he asked Kayla out. He knew he didnt like her. He just did it to see 1 of his fans, and gave her a chance or something like that. (Back to Kayla) she flopped down on her bed. It was now 10:15 and she knew she needed to sleep. She thought about tomorrow, but her mind kept floting back to Jesse watching Courtney, and his casual, not really caring, see ya back from when Chris dropped her off. But finally, she fell asleep, with a hurt felling inside.
