Height      45-50 cms

Weight     18-25 kgs

Color        red, fawn, black or cream. Hair may either be short and hard or long and standing out. Skin is loose and arranged in numerous folds.

The Shar Pei is a descendent of the Mastiff and has existed in China for over 2000 years. It served the Chinese as a herding dog and a guard god.
The Shar Pei was listed in the Guiness Book of Records(1978) as the rarest dog in the world.
The folds on the coat need to be cleaned regularly.
