 Hi, I'm Chris... nice to meet you and thanks ever so much for stopping by!  I invite you to explore a bit of my world, but do so at your own risk.  Those of you who do not already know me may be intrigued, fascinated or just outright shocked... likewise for those of you who think you know me.

Why place a part of me on the internet?  Well, I thought about this for a while and decided one must not live in fear.  And besides this makes it easier for friends and family (and editors; you'll understand later...) to keep track of what I am up to.  However, one must be smart... so what you will find here is purely public domain stuff primarily aimed at those who have an interest in how somebody like me ends up where I am, for better or for worse, and what I do to keep relatively mostly sane.

So who am I?  Well, I am an American who has been transplanted to the United Kingdom.  This was not by mistake, but by design.  Although I have travelled the world extensively and done a lot of cool stuff I decided I was not finished, and asked (yes, ASKED for all you Brits out there who still cannot understand why I'd ever leave the States to live in the UK) to live and work overseas.  Since I work for a wonderful international company (Rolls-Royce, maybe you've heard of them?) and I worked my butt off for them in relative isolation in the metropolis of Mount Vernon, Ohio I was granted this boon, for which I am eternally grateful!

OK, OK... yes there is a woman involved, A British woman, but I had already made my decision... HONEST!!!  She is lovely and wonderful and her identity shall be protected here.  I would not want anyone questioning her sanity or taste in men, after all!

So here I am, in the United Kingdom, with a wonderful British girlfriend, working for one of the best companies in the world, about to start my company sponsored Executive MBA, and still a Lieutenant (up for Lieutenant Commander next year!!! Wish me luck!!) in the US Navy Reserves.  Life is good!  Read on and explore if you dare!
