The Saga of Dr. Rat Continues
The Story of the Rat (cont.):

Moses and the bullrushes.

Though the sailing, back packing,  hot tub (an actual wine barrel) and beach were nice, California was just not my place.  The final straw was when my, now deceased, father called on Christmas morning and asked what I was doing and I had to reply "weeding the vegtable garden".

So we rented a Winebago, drove the 1958 MGA into the moving van, and headed to Dayton, Ohio (the crossroads of America-indeed it is the place where I-70 and I-75 cross...the most heavily traveled intersection in the USA). It is a little known fact that more patents and inventions in Dayton than anywhere in the country.

While the return to the midwest ended the California "sentence" it also ended the marriage.  I refer to it as the "succesful completion of that marriage" (It seems far more positive than "divorce".)  Similarly, I refer to "my son's mother" rather than my ex-wife.

After working in project management for many years in the computer industry I decided to try my hand at "carrying a bag" aka- sales.   I spent a number of years doing this for various companies until the "American Dream" overwhelmed me and I started my own company.
