Title: In The Studio Day Two

I have just got home from our final day in the studio. It has been a very fun and productive event in the history of Drive By Theory. I'm looking forward to our next visit to a studio now.

My favourite songs on the record are currently 'Just Maybe' and 'Adrenaline' but ask me again in a week and it'll be the others. 'Just Maybe' had me manning the synth and piano as well as the previously mentioned tamborine. I love experimenting. Not with my sexuality though, that one's left to Antz. And maybe Mike!!? DJ AM or Andy McGrath as he is known by in his 'My Little Pony' fan club added piano to 'Just Maybe' too.

Me and Mike are coming back for additional vocals on Monday just to spice it up. Should be fun.

Mike and Andy haven't got around to writing blogs yet so i'll add some quotes from them, both are completely true.

Mike: "I absolutely love farming! Who doesn't? To be at one with all those animals, it's like a dream come true. Hiding for hours in a hay bail is great! Even if you are playing hide and seek with yourself...i mean great fun! I love farms!".

Andy: "To me, dance music is a total departure from the normal stuff i listen too but too be honest it's far better. The same melody over the same beat for what seems like 2 hours, to most that seems like a bore but to me i just think, 'I don't have to press repeat for the next year, perfect'.

Well said boys.

Title: In The Studio Day One Part Two

Hello friends, I'm writing this as Anthony is playing with my guitar along to Dire Straits. He is a wierd child but my gosh that boy can play guitar well for someone who picked it up 5 minutes ago...watch this space for the video. I am listening to Mike lay down his tracks. He's in the room with Andy and Steve, but saying that i haven't heard any bass being played for a while now, just some girlish giggles and moans? I have no clue to what that is about.

So far i have played my guitar to the total of 4 songs and for a total of 20 minutes. I couldn't do anymore than that as i'm a Diva and needed a manicure before i resumed.

Antz has done some wonders with his drum tracks, and i actually got in on the act by adding in some shakin' tamborine on 'Just Maybe'. It was an idea i had so asked if we could try it. 'Just Maybe' was the song i wanted to do more so i'm glad the boys backed my arguement to record it. It truely is a dark horse. Just buy our CD and you'll see.

So true.

Title: In The Studio Day One

The day starts off with the guys laying down their guitar guide tracks for me to play along too. That was fun to hear our songs being played back to us. After that, at about 1ish, Steve (Our producer) went to the bank or so he said...so we went to the local Tesco's for a bit, i bought an egg and bacon sandwich.

Recording resumed at about 2 once we had set up the drums and mics. I decided to record adrenaline first and it was more complicated than i thought. This was bacause i wasn't used to playing against a click track. Soon after i was used to the click and managed to get Paris and Adrenaline tracked then we all sat around and had some tea.

After an amusing tea break, with our producer ranting on and on, we tracked Fist Fights. This was the most complex song to record and i had a job getting used to the constant start/stops or recording parts.

FINALLY we came to do the drum tracks for the last song 'Just Maybe'. This was rather easy to do after hours playing to the click. Any mistakes made were quickly ammended by Steve. After this me and Matt went down to write blogs and listen to MT track some funky bass lines.

Ladies call me,

Antz xxx
