Description:
An annual tradition in the Polish community here in Philadelphia is to honor Gen. Casmir Pulaski with the Pulaski Day Parade on the first Sunday every October. Who was General Kazimierz Pulaski? http://www.polishamericancenter.org/Pulaski.htm. The parade broadcasts on ABC/WPVI 6 from 18th and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway (Logan Circle) in Center City Philly, usually from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Many organizations and dance groups from the area participate in this festive display of Polish pride in the area every year. You wouldn't have to do anything special, maybe wear a Drexel shirt, paint a Polsih flag on your cheek, or wear a red & white bandada. We will be marching with Villanova and the University of Pennsylvania.
NOTE: Email Misia ASAP if you want to march!!
