| Former Allen High star Ray Barbosa, who played three years at James Madison University, has accepted a scholarship to the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Barbosa also considered transferring to Lehigh before deciding on UMBC, where he might start alongside former Whitehall star Jay Greene in the 2007-08 season. Barbosa must sit out next season because of NCAA rules governing Division I transfers. JMU junior Cavell Johnson, Barbosa's roommate in Harrisonburg, Va., has also transferred to UMBC. The two players will be reunited with UMBC assistant coach Kevin Baggett, who was an assistant at JMU in their freshman season. Read More. |
