The Story of Hazrat Yusuf (as)
The handling of beauty becomes most delicate enigma in life. What is the real beauty ? What is its essence? How to care for beauty? What is to be done when we have lost the beauty of our life? How to restore it?

The Ameer of Egypt had gifted his beautiful wife Zulaikha, the most beautiful man on earth, 'Joseph' as a gift. He was able to render his piety but what about Zulaikha? Is beauty without piety is meaningful? Is it worthy enough? Is civilization possible without morality? What is more sacred human willfulness or God's Will?
A Friend's Visit
We find the answer of all these questions in this beautiful story told by Mevlana. Let us begin with the story....
The Life is the most precious gift of Allah to human beings. Can we do justice to this beauty? Are we able to entertain beautiful gifts? It is too hard to pay the price of beauty? Some people even suffer from "beauty": if it is purely physical and there is no spiritual dimension added to it,'beauty' may provoke the wrath and jealousy of the less beautiful, as Hazrat Yusuf (as) had suffered at the hands of his brothers. Loss of beauty makes one old and wretched like Zulaikha. Loss of beauty in life can cause unsurmountable pain and remorse, and inability to see other things in life as Hazrat Yaqoob (as) had suffered. He was unable to shower the affection to other sons. He was turned blind to love and blindness was cured only at the sight of his beautiful son.
