A Friend Visits Hazrat Yusuf (as)
A kind friend had traveled from afar. He was the guest of Hazrat Yusuf (as) the pious. They both were childhood friends, both having faith and trust in each other. He reminded Hazrat Yusuf (as) of his brothers wrath, of all the pain, misery and suffering he has to suffer at their hands. Hazrat Yusufs (as) reply was very simple and straight forward; like any believer he replied that there is always a good attached to the hardships one endures in life.
(2) Rumi Quotes Qur'an:
48:29 Muhammad is the apostle of Allah. and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other. Thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer), seeking Grace from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. On their faces are their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration. This is their similitude in the Taurat; and their similitude in the Gospel is: like a seed which sends forth its blade, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and it stands on its own stem, (filling) the sowers with wonder and delight. As a result, it fills the Unbelievers with rage at them. Allah has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness, and a great Reward.

That was a chain and me the lion...
The lion caged is not enslaved through chain
Against the Divine Will I have no complain
Though the lion had chain round its neck
Still he was the leader of all in prison you may check
He asked: How did you feel while you were in the well and in the prison?

Hazrat Yusuf (as) replied: Well! Like a moon in its regression

Though the new moon is weak and bended
The same develops into perfect beauty apprehended
When pearl was grinded in the mill
It became medicine for the eye and heart still.
The wheat is sown under the ground
Only then, we harvest wheat abound
The grains which were grounded in a mill
Had an added value, becoming bread to live
Again the bread was chewed among the teeth
Energy for the wise; for the righteous the passionate blithe

No wonder when soul is lost in love
It shall reach a station far above
When the soul is annihilated in God
It reaches pure consciousness untold
Sobriety ends up in the need for drink
Intoxicating the soul, bringing consciousness to the brink
A world of betterment had been created
The people received welfare much awaited

Rumi tells us about the quality of the righteous:
The righteous are the people who work for the unity of Muslims and do not spread intrigue and confusion among them. They will help strengthening the seed of faith in hearts and minds of people. As Ibn Kathir has explained: Such is the parable that describes the Companions of Allah's Messenger: they gave the Messenger aid, support and victory, just as the shoot hardens the plant.
