Welcome to Dragon Strike Central. This site is your internet source for great Dragon Strike related information. From new adventures for your Dragon Strike game to new rules and monsters, you'll find it here. After scouring the internet for any Dragon Strike related info and coming up with absolutely nothing, I decided that something needed to be done for people who still enjoy playing this great fantasy board game. The result is the website you are visiting right now. I don't claim to be some sort of expert on Dragon Strike, I'm just a person who enjoys the game.

My first encounter with the game was soon after it was released back in 1993. While in a local store with a friend, I saw several of the games on display and decided to take a closer look at it. After checking out the box for a few minutes, we got the impression that it was a cross between Dungeons & Dragons and a VCR adventure game. After deciding that it looked like it could probably provide a bit of fun on a few weekends or at worst a good laugh, I decided to pick up a set. After getting it home and inspecting it further, I discovered to my disappointment that it in fact was not a VCR adventure game. The video turned out to be just an introductory tool to set the mood for the game itself and a bad one at that. In my opinion, the video is so bad that it's good. It's one of the most terrible things I've ever seen, but that in itself makes it humorous. Luckily, I decided to learn the game despite the cheesy video and found that it was a nice little game afterall. It turned out to have a somewhat stripped down version of the Dungeons & Dragons rules and after learning them, I could quickly and easily run an adventure for a group of 1 to 5 of my friends. The game mechanics were simple enough for anyone to learn, yet deep enough to allow a bit of role playing during gameplay. Over the years it has been there to dust off whenever I get together with a group of friends who want to play a role playing game on the spot when nobody happens to have one prepared. Even people with no interest in the usual role playing game have taken a liking to Dragon Strike because of the board game interface and simple to understand gameplay. The only real drawback to the Dragon Strike game was the fact that it only came with 16 pre-made adventures and there were no expansions with new game boards, playing pieces or figures made. Dragon Strike is fun, but after a while with only 16 adventures things can get repetitive. That's where Dragon Strike Central comes in. I hope to fill that gap with special made adventures and game add-ons that you will be able to further expand your own Dragon Strike games and adventures with.

Although Dragon Strike Central will continue to post new original material, please keep in mind that I do this for fun, so updates may be spread out a little. Also, everyone should feel free to use the Dragon Strike Central forums to discuss Dragon Strike related topics, but please try to keep it clean when posting on the forums for the benefit of others. Feedback is always welcome and any reasonable requests will be seriously taken into consideration.

Thank you and enjoy your stay.
