| Plant Type: Annual
When to Sow Outside: In areas with a long growing season - 120 frost-free days - sow seeds directly outdoors once the soil has warmed to 70 degrees. When to Sow Inside: If your growing season isn't long enough to start the seeds outdoors, start indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last spring frost. Anise has a long taproot and doesn't transplant easily so use paper or peat pots to avoid disturbing the roots more than necessary. Seed Depth: 1/8" Seed Spacing: 2" Days to Emerge: 20 to 28 Thinning: When 2" tall, thin to 1' apart. |
