Rant on Electrical Outlets
����� I don't know what the reason for this is, but I have many reasons why it should be otherwise. i'm referring to the placement of electrical outlets so close to the floor. Who's idea was that? Anyway, here's at least 5 reasons to have those built in much higher; about 4 or 5 feet up:
1. People (especially ones who are disabled or injured),would not have to bend over to reach them.
2. Children would not be able to reach them for several years.
3. Floor-bound pets would not be able to reach them.
4. If you are unfortunate enough to live in a flood zone, or have an unhappy accident with the plumbing, your wiring would be just fine if the water only came up to about 3 or 4 feet.
5. The outlets would be in plain view where someone is more likely to make sure they are not over-loaded and tangled.
